But in the NDTV interview Asha did mention unreleased gems and some tunes of RDB. Any ideas on releasing those?

Supposedly RD's unused tunes are used in this movie and the songs will be sung by AshaJi... A related post here Cheers, V i V e K ...

Thanks for the link Vivek.
Ah, the new film is Nazdeek. Khwahish was an older one a few yrs back--the entire album had only Asha songs. Looking forward to the new album. |

I had asked this question 2 days ( not directly by me but through someone - to release the numbers before they are black marketed - yes it was conveyed that songs are black marketed ) - she said that se does have around 100 songs ready for release...just that she is very busy at the moment in various assignments...lets see... Came across this link where Asha ji talks about some of her fav. singers... maybe you have already seen this but still i thought i should share
A few years ago, a singer said "There is a gap between the heart and brain. That is where the sound box lies. Some sing from their heart, others use their brain. But all singers in my list [of favourites] apply both their heart and brain.'" That singer was Asha Bhosle. It must be special to be Asha Bhosle, gifted to have an ageless voice like hers. She is the voice that her father, Master Dinanath Mangeshkar, trained, along with her elder sister, Lata Mangeshkar. Like her sister, she began her career as a child artiste and later branched into singing for films. Her rich, versatile voice mastered the saat surs (seven melodies) easily. She has sung for countless actresses, from Nutan to Waheeda Rehman to Rekha to Urmila Matondkar to Shamita Shetty. And through those many decades, her magic has always been constant. Asha ji on her Fav. Singers This post has been edited by preety: Sep 8 2005, 08:24 PM "When beauty talks, nobody notices what grammar it uses"

A short clip (single avi in two rare files) about what Asha tells about todays music and her latest album... Come on now , she herself tells the generation who loves older music might not like this album as she had to sung with english musical instruments ,etc...
Enjoy this short CLIP AAJ KI DHUN (courtsey of Sony TV) The way is not in the sky, the way is in the heart. --Gautama Buddha
