There is no exact data regarding Punjabi films, and singers is available yet.

Mr. B.R.Garg was writing a volume regarding Punjabi Films.I have not seen him on forum since long.

Years back I had heard a song by Mohd. Rafi........... Nayi Reet Punjab Di Kahendi Leher Chinab Di.

A friend told me recently that the song is from Mirza Sahiban (1957). Do you have this song? Or for that matter does any one on HF have it.

I would love to hear it again.

Bahut bahut shukriya innan gannian da. Why are'nt more people like you with interest and resources who appreciate our virsa? By the way the singers for previous songs 'sannun te pawaiyan kothriyan'and ' Boohe te marangi jandre' ( correct me if I am wrong) are Trilok Kapoor and Parkash Kaur. 'Kainthe wala aagya prahuna' singer I think is Jagjit Kaur. Again thanks. Harjinder

There is another song :Sanu te pawayian kothrian, posiibly by the same singers.

Lo kar lo gaal. Harjinderji thuaanu hun pataa challaiya ai. Virji is the biggest song
collector of hindi and punjabi songs in entire Punjab and he possesses even bigger
