QUOTE(unni @ Jul 6 2005, 09:09 AM) Never mind who your favourite artistes are. If you love old HFM, just listen to this simply gorgeous number. I was thrilled to discover it, and I'm sure you'll love it. CD rip: Simply gorgeous indeed as promised by Unni-bhai. Has an ethereal quality, something I felt a bit similar in atmosphere to the Lata song "Chand Madhyam Hai" from Railway Platform (Madan Mohan) u'led sometime back. Perhaps it's due to a similar instrument (which I can't recognize) playing in the background in both songs. Cheers. |

QUOTE(unni @ Jun 14 2005, 09:48 AM) This song features thrice in the movie. In the film, the song is interrupted in the first and third picturizations. I've combined all three versions in this one long track. Note the western-music prelude --- music by S. D. Burman. Unni-ji, I have missed this track posted by you. Request for PM/ re-upload. Thanks in advance, Mohd. |

Here's the re-upload of the track in which I dovetailed into one track the song that featured three times in the movie:
(Hemant Kumar/"MANZIL"/S.D. Burman/Majrooh) If you stop trying to make sense of it all, you'll be less confused. Reality is an illusion.

Usurping Unni's thread.
A clip from the Mortal Men Immortal Melodies concert. Hemantda singing jaag dard-e-ishq from Anarkali. The song appears to stop abruptly par yakeen maaniye just a second more. The video had some error due to which I managed to copy this only after many gymnastics and several attempts. |

Hemant-da singing for Shammi Kapoor?!!! And what a delightful song at that!
Video-clip in Real Media: If you stop trying to make sense of it all, you'll be less confused. Reality is an illusion.
