Never heard of any Marathi version of the song U mentioned. Infact cannot plac the Hindi song at the moment. sad1.gif
The song I mentioend was from Sansani. SB had uled it in his Ek Hi Film Ke Geet thread. U may have it. Can ul it if it has been removed.

Marathi version of the song? I was referring to the Hindi song itself - "ghir aayii kaarii ghaTaa matavaarii, saavan kii aayii bahaar re" - one of my favourite Asha songs. In the film, it is a duet between Asha and Varsha; the album version is a solo by Asha.

Warm regards,
Abhay

Abhay, are you referring to the 70s film with Nafisa Ali and music by Vanraj
Bhatia? If so, I only have the album version which is as you say a solo by
Asha. sad1.gif

majhya mana zara thaamb naa
Pause somewhat, o heart (though man = mind, here it is the heart)

pauli tujhya majhiya khuna
my feelings lie under your feet

tujhe dhavane an mala vedana
you will run, and I'll hurt

majhya mana zara bolana
O heart, speak somewhat

olakhu kase mee he tujhe rutu
how can I recognize your seasons (mood swings)

ekatee na mee sobatees too
I am not alone, you are with me

olakhu kasha mee tujhya bhavana
how can I understand your feelings

majhya mana zara aik naa
O heart, listen to me some

saanjvel hee tujhe chalane
this dusk is like you are walking

ratra hee suni tujhe bolane
this lonely night is like you are talking

ushakkal ahe navi kalpana
the dawn is like a new idea

Self - belief is the most potent force.

Ah! But one cannot mention this song without the other Asha solo in this film. I love the way Ashatai delivers this song 'Ek Zhoka'. She renders it so as to reflect that seemingly careless mood of a child playing on a swing and yet captures that poignant element of the movie where the protagonist has - iirc - lost his mind as a child while playing on one. Haunting.

Does anyone have Ashatai's brilliant song 'Manaa Tujhe Manogat' from the movie Kalat Nakalat? I think it is one of the finest songs Ashatai has sung in Marathi. If I recall, she won the national or state award for that song. I have never been able to find that song. Does anyone have it?
