The third singer is Surinder Kaur, not Shamshad Begum.

hi ummer n friends,
hfgk mentions shamshad begum as one of the three singers .i have never doubted the identity of singers as i felt the voices of shamshad begum and geeta dutt were quite distinct and identifiable.i will listen to the song again and let you know.
surinder kaur has sung four other songs in the film-1]lo ji sunlo,2]-dil do nainon mein kho gaya,3]-tum sang ankhiyan and 4]-thandi thandi hawa jo aaye.the first two are duets with mukesh and the last two are solos.''thandi thandi hawa jo aaye was released in the voice of shamshad begum on record while the soundtrack had surinder kaur's voice.
surinder kaur in 48-51 phase had become very popular and most of the music directors of that era were using her[anil biswas,ghulam haider,husnlal bhagatram,s d burman,khurshid anvar,a r qureshi].

The third singer is Surinder Kaur, not Shamshad Begum.

Just downloaded and heard the song. I also feel its very much Surinder Kaur and not Shamshad Begum.

This is looks a film version song. There may be another possibility Mahesh Bhai, that Shamshad Begum might have sung the 78 rpm record version.

BTW, here is a very interesting point to note that HMV/ RPG in Golden Collection of Shamshad Begum - includes a popular duet from the Film AAG (1947) -its a film version song --Dekh chand ki ore..........and mentions in song credits as duet sung by Shamshad Begum & Sailesh. Actually when you listen to this duet, its Mina Kapoor and Sailesh and not Shamshad Begum ( in this Film Version song).

But the same song had the 78 rpm record version which used to played by Radio Ceylon & Vividh Bharti ( during 60's & 70's ) and this was actually sung by Shamshad Begum & Sailesh and not Mina Kapoor. This 78 rpm version is now not available in the market now and is much better than the film version available sung by - Sailesh & Mina Kapur.
