Far, very far, into the world of the farthest beyond
My hope carries me and places me
On the sweetest lap of the unknown.
There i behold my self-form

Some to Misery are born
Every morn and every Night
Some are born to sweet Delight
Some are born to Endless night

Friends,
Two beautiful songs from Boond Jo Ban Gayi Moti. All credits to Satish Bhatiya and Sumanji.
Absolute beauties ("Dil mera gumsum...." and "Kya maine preet..."). Unfortunately there aren't many songs from Satish Bhatia.
1)
Singer: Suman
Song: Dil mera gumsum (3:53, 154kbps vbr)
Film: Boond Jo Ban Gayi Moti (1967)
Lyrics: Bharat Vyas
Music: Satish Bhatia

2)
Singer: Suman
Song: Kya maine preet mein (3:55, 150kbps vbr)
Film: Boond Jo Ban Gayi Moti (1967)
Lyrics: Bharat Vyas
Music: Satish Bhatia

Enjoy
Sanjay

Hello friends

I'm a big big fan of Suman Kalyanpur and thank you from the bottom of my heart for starting this thread and making valuable contributions throughout.
Its kinda unfortunate that an amazing singer like Suman ji never got the kind of attention she deserved from music- directors and listners. This is evident in the fact that in a career spanning about 4 decades, she sang only (approximately) 740 songs!! She was unfortunate that many people found her voice very similar to that of Lata Mangeshkar, and said that she copied her, which was true to some extenct. This, however, doesnot degrade her as a singer. True music lovers have always valued and cherished the songs of Suman Kalyanpur, and still do.
Below, I'm posting an extremely rare song, infact the only song that Lata ji and Suman ji have sung together. Its from the movie Chand (1959) under the direction of Hemant Kumar. One can hardly make out the diffrence between voices.....see for yourself!!

Song- Kabhi Aaj Kabhi Kal Kabhi Parson
Movie- Chand
Year- 1959
Singers- Lata Mangeshkar, Suman Kalyanpur
Music director- Hemant Kumar
Duration- 5:09
Lyricist- Shailendra
Format- mp3
Bitrate- 192kbps

Enjoy!!! smile.gif
