The shooting of fresh episodes of Malgudi Days based on the writings of R K Narayan, has been restarted at Agumbe, a village in the Western Ghats.

Award-winning Kannada director Kavitha Lankesh is directing the telefilms which are produced by T S Narasimhan, under the banner Padmarag TV International. The shooting of the episodes of An Astrologer’s Day, Salt and Sawdust, Four Rupees, Lawley Road, Gold Belt, Neighbour’s Help, Annamalai, Dodu and Doctor’s Word is complete while two short stories and 26 episodes based on the novel The Man-eater of Malgudi will be shot shortly.
