I think one more song that can surely make this poll list is "door reh kar na karo baat kareeb aa jaao" from Amaanat (1977). Awesome lyrics and Rafi sahab's magical voice! What say you?

Okkayyyyyy I am outta here now biggrin.gif

another seductive song of Rafi saab is clearly "Tu mere saamne hain, teri zulfe hai khuli, tera aanchal hai dhala, main bhala hosh main kaise rahoon"...... (but certainly not to be sung on the first night (varna, baahoN ke badle chappal mil sakta hai).

"Aur Kuch Der Thahar Aur Kuch Der Na Jaa"

Now i don't know about entire song, but there's line in this, and it goes without saying that there has to be the right mood the right atmosphere. The line goes:

'Raat baki hai abhi raat mein raas baki hai, paa ke tujko tujhe pane ki hawas baki hai'

I know, it is thin line between charming n perversity. But, if you look at it in a certain way, it is class biggrin.gif No?

Yunus Sarkar,

You do have a good line of reasoning.

But I'm absolutely convinced, that the transformation to this beast with two backs wud have started long b4 the last stanza point.

(Dear All, seriously, if this is in 'any' way tasteless, my apologies. And I take it back here n now)

Dear yarMere
This Rafi Saheb's song ,which is full of expression is not a tasteless song .What I mean is that .........When
Itni haseen raat hai
Itni jawan raat hai
Jagay huway jazbaat hai
Aur jab
Hamsafer bhi saath hai
Toh phir
Yeh kaisay sawalaat hai?????????
K
Main kya karoo??
Main kya karoo??????????

My song for this occasion
Woh khushee mili hai mujh ko m,ain khushi say mar na jaoon
Jo guzar rahi hai mujh per usay kaisay main bataoon
although little sad (due to songs situation in the film)but it will do the purpose

the song goes further like this
Meray dil ki dhadkano may woh mukam hai tumhara
K khuda k baad lab per bus naam hai tumhara
usay bandagi may samjhoon jo tumharay kaam aaoon

Hi Everybody,

This perhaps is the toughest question one can ask a guy smile1.gif

Though I believe that Chaudvin Ka Chaand Ho... is the one that would get max points in view of lady, but the below two would be equally impressive and I believe there are scores of other melodies for the occassion.

1) Bahut Shukriya Badi Meharbani (if you dont know the lady before hand)
2) Door Rahkar Na Karo Baat... (if you had known her for a long time)

Pradeepji,
ALL are great to me.
BUT what i found as "the most seductive" Rafi-saab no. was:
Aajaa re aa zaraa, lehraa ke aa zaraa, aankhon se dil mein samaa a aa

Oh.. the quiver in Rafi-saab's voice, the words he "almost whispers", the controlled but "drifting away of control", the "unmaad" of this song is just out of the world, i reckon.!!

Rajendra Kumar maybe

Dilip Kumar was another one
It's a hard one as many actors were dedicated/hooked on Rafi's voice

I am surprised that no one has mentioned that beautiful song from Teen Devian- 'Aise To Na Dekho, Ke Humko Nasha Ho Jaye'.

This is a beautiful song and simply intoxicating.

Another song that really is very romantic is Hum Aur Tum Aur Ye Sama, Kya Nasha nasha sa hai, Boliye Na Boliye Sab Suna Suna Sa Hai.

Also, Mere Humdum Mere Dost is sooo romantic and beautiful.

I would select the one from Love in Tokyo ... "Aa Ja Re Aa Zara" as his most seductive number ....

I'd like to point out that 'Chaudvin Ka Chaand' would be his most romantic numbers .... a slight difference you see ! ;-)

Nice to be back in the forum after a long hiatus .... hibernation actually ! Had last contributed when it was a part of yahoo groups ! Great to see all the HFM forums together at one place!

Hope to be a regular member

If selection has to be made among the given three songs only then my choice will be ....

Beautiful Lyrics by Majrooh Sahab
Composed by most seductive MD- Madan Mohan Sahab
Above all, the most seductive voice of - Dear Rafi....

Tumse Kahoon Ek Baaat , Paro o o n Si
Halkii Halkii,

Raat Meri Hai, Chaanv Tumhare Hi Anchal Kii
Halkii Halkii.

Soyee galiyaan Baanh Pasaare,
Aankhen Miichhe,

Ghani Palko o on Ke Niichhe,
Dekhuun Chalte Khwaab,
Lakiron Par Kajaal Kii

A small clip from Chandan ka Palna
Starts with dialogues of Dharmendra and Meenaji

A very lusty song. Rafi sahab ki awaz ki khanakaur adaygi, Madan Mohan wala mizaaz,
Ek badiya situation, Anand Bakshi ki kalam ka anmol moti, sab kuchh hai is gaane mein aur Sangeetkar hain RahulDev Burman.

Tumhe dekha hai

Pradeep ji,

Could we have a similar poll, just for us gals ?

How many gals are there anyway on this forum ?{ It would be fun to know that ! }

Here is a selection of songs by me, that just might fit the bill :

"Tera Husn Rahe Mera Ishq Rahe"

"Paas Baitho Tabiyat Bahal Jayegi"

"Husn Waale Tera Jawab Nahin" {The same winning combination of Shakeel Badauni, Ravi and Rafi Saab at

work here, like in "Chaudwin Ka Chaand Ho" !

And the dreamy we-pledge-our-love-to-each-other "Tere Mere Sapne Ab Ek Rang Hain" {It is certainly NOT a

seductive song but i guess a bride would want her husband, to show some feeling of this sort on their first

day of married life.

Of course i have not disclosed my personal choice{that can wait for later !}

Dear Harold saab,

You sure know how to pick the cream of the romantic songs !

The three you picked, are my favourites too, especially the last one from 'Brahmachari'.

I just love the 'Tu Bemisaal Hai' song.

You are absolutely right, Harold saab ! Rafi Saab and Lata Mangeshkar duets had that 'special' something, that set them apart from others. Take this duet from the movie -- Heer Ranjha, composed by Madan mohan.

''Meri Duniya Mein Tum Aayi...Kya Kya Apne Saath Liye"

but as all good things have to end so did the night ,and dawn broke. wifey had to cut some impression on the inlaws so she had to get ready and leave. lo and behold i cudnt stop myself from crooning abhi na jao chor kar ki dil abhi bhara nahi,.
during the night when we were unable to sleep for a single moment ,aaj ki raat yeh kaisi raat ki hum ko neend nahi aati kept on echoeing in our ears.

CHAUDHVIN KA CHAAND HO I would reserve for "premika" (sweetheart) if I were young again.

When I first went to see my would-be-wife, I literaly sang TERI KOONCHE MEIN ARMAANON KI DUNIYA LEKE AAYAA HOON... in the gathering of family and friends.

Again, once the engagemen was announced after two-three days, for reassuring my fiancee, I literally sang:

TUMHAARI ZULF KE SAAYE MEIN SHAAM KAR LOONGA,
SAFAR IK UMR KA PAL MEIN TAMAAM KAR LOONGA....

Yes, sang the entire song to her extreme pleasure and the amusement of all those who had gathered there.

Sometimes, life becomes very filmy no douibt. smile.gif

Hey all why you all are forgetting the song " Tum kamsin ho, Nadaan ho, Nazuk ho. Bholi ho...Sochta hoon mein ki tumhe pyaar na karoon" This one should be one of the most Seductive & romantic no of Rafi Sahab. Indeed "aaj ki raat ye kasie raat" would be most seductive & sentational no of Rafi Sahab.....!!

My choice would be "Meri Duniya Mein Tum Aaye" from Heer Ranjha
