does anybody know the meaning of the song - chupalo yun dil mein pyar mera , ke jaise mandir mein lo diye ki. chhupaa lo yuu.N dil me.n pyaar meraa ke jaise ma.ndir me.n lau diye kii I can tell you what each individual words mean but the sentence doesn't make sense to me. I did have to look up what lau meant. According to the web dictionany, it means blaze. http://sanskrit.gde.to/hindi/dict/eng-hin-itrans.html I guess we need zippoo ji to tells us the meaning. |

does anybody know the meaning of the song - chupalo yun dil mein pyar mera , ke jaise mandir mein lo diye ki. Let me attempt it: Chhupa Lo Yun Dil Mein Pyar Tera - Keep away (from the prying eyes) my love in (the corner of) your heart Ki Jaise Mandir Mein Lau Diye Ki - Just as the flame of an earthen lamp (flutters) in (the corner of) a temple Hope it makes sense Pradeep |

I guess the gist is:
Just as any temple would fervently guard its lamp from being extinguished (considered as a bad omen), so too guard my love deep in your heart The next line is even more confounding ! Methinks these are the words, without googling. Tum Apne Charanon Mein Rakh Lo Mujhko, Tumhaari Charanon Ki Dhool Hoon Main Ye Sab Tumhaare Liye Hai Preetam, Ke Jaise Mandir Mein Lau Diye Ki |

Dear friends,
With your kind permission, I would like to take this honour of translation. Kindly bear the boredome , if any. The great lyrics are written by Majrooh Sultanpuri Sahab. The great composition by Roshan Sahab. The heart touching duet by Hemant Kumar Sahab & Lata Mai. Film - Mamta. Chhupaa Lo Yuu.n Dil Me.n Pyaar Meraa Ke Jaise Mandir Men Lou Diye Kii [Mandir Ke Diye ki Lou – Peace giving , Highly sacred, Purest & always exist. Temple is a perfect place for Diyaa. Pl let my love like ‘Diye Ki Lao’ be in your heart which is like a temple, for ever.] Tum Apane Charano.n Me.n Rakh Lo Mujhako Tumhaare Charano.n Kaa Phuul Huu.n Mai.n Mai.n Sar Jhukaae Kha.Dii Huu.n Priyatam Ke Jaise Mandir Me.n Lau Diye Kii [For me you are like God & I want to be like flower at the feet of God. The perfect place of a flower is at the Feet of God, Pl let me with you for ever the way flower remains always at the feet of God. I am just waiting for your consent] Ye Sach Hai Jiinaa Thaa Paap Tum Bin Ye Paap Maine Kiyaa Hai Ab Tak Magar Hai Man Me.n Chhavi Tumhaarii Ke Jaise Mandir Me.n Lau Diye Kii [It is truly a sin to live without you & I have done that sin till now but I have reason to do that & the reason is – I couldn’t die because you was always in my heart like a Diye Ki Lou in Temple] Phir Aag Birahaa Kii Mat Lagaanaa Ke Jalake Mai.n Raakh Ho Chukii Huu.n [Please don’t go away ever from me again You was away & I burnt in the fire of separation. I have turned into ashes. Ye Raakh Maathe Pe Maine Rakh Lii - 2 Ke Jaise Ma.ndir Me.n Lau Diye Kii [This ash, I proudly bear on my forehead. It is most precious thing for me in this world it is equeally holy like the light of Mandir Ke Diye ki ] Please excuse me if my translation couln't match the true feelings of song. Dil Shaad Tha Ke Phool Khilenge Bahaar Mein
Maaraa Gaya Garib Isee Aitbaar Mein |
