Hi all.
i am pleased to starting this new thread, where i shall be up loading some very much noble songs of our beloved singer GEETA JEE, from 78 rpm version, all songs are in good sound quality.

your viewes positve or negative are always welcome.

i was shocked when first time i heard this song of Geeta jee from radio cylone. mere nainon may preet mere honton pe geet.
i tried alot to find the song in 78rpm version, but couldnt i get it for many years.
some one told me that 78rpm of the desired song is with the Fazal Basha who has passed away many years ago, may God bless his soul, he lived in Peshawer, he was a great record collector of Pakistan and his requested songs from radio cylone were heared time to time. i went over there which is on the distance of 48 hours drive from my home. the price which he had kept for the record was Rs.3000.
when he saw my zeal and enthusiasm in the song, he presented me the record free of cost. which is in my collection still.

now i would like to share the same with you all.

I am trying to follow the list of Late" Bapa" who is not amongst us we can pray for his soul that may God bless him. i was woried to looking his earlier posts, really Parag he was a great fan of Geeta Jee. i have deeply studiet his list. most probably i have 70 % of songs from his list in good audio quality.

As comparing your requested list with the Late Bapa's list there not a big difference.

I have a big list of requests of about 500 plus songs. I have sorted it by film name. The list in my thread is for only songs from the films starting with letter "A" and "B". Today I will update my list and post it here on your thread. It will be great if you can check those songs in your collection and upload them at your convenience. listning to this song people become confused, as the same song has been sung by Lata Ji in the film Chori Chori, as per according to my knowledge the song was originally recorded for the movie chori chori, i am uknown that why song was recorded in the Lata Ji's voice and Geeta Ji's song was considered as parivate song.

Waheed bhai sahab, both of these songs are melodious and in excellent audio quality, which is the case of the songs you share.
Based on the information on HF and net, most of the Gujarathi songs of Geeta ji are from the late forties and early fifties. Avinash Vyas was a leading MD of Gujarathi film music with whom Geeta ji shared excellent rapport.

Even I am not aware of the details (film, year, MD) about these 2 songs, but there are bright chances are that they will be composed by Avinash Vyas.

it is for your kind information that i have seen this film also, the song has been sung not only by geeta ji naheed niyazi also sings its a duet not in a single voice, despite of the fact there is a big combination between geeta ji and naheed ji's voice,

your kind attention is needed in the song, geeta ji starts the song very very first as under:

All these days, it was said it is sung by either Geeta ji or by Naheed ji. No one ever said/thought that its a duet of both of these singers whose voices are so similar.

Yes exactly Erum this is the 2nd part of the zindagi hai dil lagi, but be informed that "zindagi hai dil lagi" is not as much rare as it is " tum kehte rahe hum sunte rahe" it is very much hard to find.

That is why I use id3 tagging and itunes. that way I can search by year, md, lyricist, etc.

the film ''tees maar khan'' was released in 1955.it is very much an indian film starring shyama,agha,sunder etc.
it had three geetaji songs-

I have been listening to songs of Geeta ji for more than 20 years, songs in many languages, solos and duets, song from the late forties to songs from the early seventies! Each and every time as a listener I have been enthralled in the magic in her voice. Thanks for this rare song.

I did a little research on IMDB, and this is the entry I found.

It says its a film made in the year 1963 in Pakistan. IMDB or any other source on the net does not indicate any existance of a Hindi film made in India by the same name. AFAIK, it would be highly unlikely that Geeta ji sang this song in 1963.

So:
1) Is this song sung by Nahid Niazi (whose voice is very similar to that of Geeta ji)?
2) Is there another Hindi film by the same name?

Need information from the knowledgable members.
