The concept behind this thread is like a Phulon ka gajara (Garland of flowers). The first flower will be woven with a duet of Geeta ji with Rafi saab, with whom she has sung maximum number of duets.

The next flower in the garland is a lovely duet with Mukesh sab. Geeta ji has sung a good number of duets with Mukesh ji, but the popularity of this particular duet is un-matched.
2)Mukesh : Khayalon mein kisi ke (Baware Nain) Film : Baware Nain MD : Roshan Year : 1950 Lyrics : Kidar Sharma Time/KBPS : 04.56/192 KBPS Baware Nain was one of those Kidar Sharma productions with evergreen music by Roshan sab. In the movie, it was Rajkumari who sang of the heroine Geeta Bali (Mujhe sach sach bata do) and this one duet was filmed on the side heroine Vijayalakshmi. * On a side note, Geeta ji sang quite a few songs with Mukesh ji, some even in Gujarathi. Here you can find a list of the duets of Geetaji and Mukesh ji http://www.hamaraforums.com/index.php?showtopic=19545 Here are links to a couple of threads dedicated to the duets of these two legendary singers http://www.hamaraforums.com/index.php?show...c=19545&hl= http://www.hamaraforums.com/index.php?show...c=34091&hl= This post has been edited by parag_sankla: Aug 8 2008, 11:16 AM Attached image(s) Please visit www.geetadutt.com

Just as an indication of how sweet and child like Geeta ji can be , here is an example of her duet with her friend Asha ji. It is one of those signature compositions of the great composer Sajjad Hussain.

This duet with Hemantda is another example of a fun number composed by the one and only one Sachin Dev Burrman sab.
It was filmed on the lead pair of Dev Anand and Nalini Jayawant with Pran adding some not so musical notes. One can hear Geeta ji actually saying a few words in this song and how sweet does she sound ! 7) Hemant kumar : Dil ki umange hain jawan ( Munimaji) Film : Munimaji MD : S D Burman Year : 1951 Lyrics : Sahir Ludhiyanavi Time/KBPS : 04.43/192 KBPS Here are links to a couple of threads dedicated to the duets of these two legendary singers http://www.hamaraforums.com/index.php?show...c=54538&hl= http://www.hamaraforums.com/index.php?show...c=33289&hl= This post has been edited by parag_sankla: Aug 8 2008, 11:19 AM Attached image(s) Please visit www.geetadutt.com
