Alongwith songs, the entertaining bits n pcs of information are also equally valuable for me, being a die-hard fan of bollywood music & films.

My mistake.. I mentioned NaushadSaab as MD for the song "Kabhi Kaha Na Kisi Se". I remember I had seen a gazal programme on TV wherein Ashaji sang this one & NaushadSaab was anchoring the show. Seems I took the wrong msg.

Can some one pleeeaaase upload following songs ? Those must have already been 'ul'ed earlier, but not available at present.

1. Songs of Shaque (1976), particularly ... Neha (or Meha ?) Barasane laga hai aaj ki raat by Aashaji. Ashaji's voice is so expressive without missing even a fraction of note of such a difficult composition by Vasant Desai. the song is said to be based on Malhar ( is it Jayat Malhar ? ). I think the tune has beautiful weaving of Both nishaads and both gandhaars. I had to take lot of effort to play the exact notes on synth and harmonium. Can some ealaborate ?

2. Ya sukhanno Ya (Marathi song, MD Babuji, Singers Ashaji and Babuji. I am dying for this song. Aashaji's voice is mathcless.

3. A Marathi song from film Satiche Vaan (or Waan). The film starred Assha Kale (typical bahu under lot of trouble from in-laws). She is tied to a poel in mandir (I think). The song was sung by Aashaji MD was Prabhakar Jog and was based on Raag Marwa.

For song 2, no need to die. You will njoy it alive (yachi dehi). I will surely upload it in marathi forum. As far as I know, it is solo song by Ashaji. never heard it was also sung (co-sung) by Babuji.

Hello Hum Tumji,

Thanks for longer version and hope you liked Sonu's effort, too. What I observed in your Asha's longer sersion is that the speed of recording is slightly slower than mine (3.21 min version) and bigger M 0 and M end. i.e. longer music pieces at the beginning and end of song. These pieces are very sweet. Ant yes, it was treat. Thanx.

Yes Shridhar, this is a film version. In most cases, I have noticed the film versions are a bit faster in the speed than those released on discs.

By the way I liked Sonu's version. Thanks for that clip.

This has ref to my old post of 2009.
I was looking for song picturized on Asha Kale. Lampan ji gave me song - Prabhu Somnatha. Great song. But I was restless and was not sure if that was the song I was looking for.
Finally I got that song couple of days back. Its from Kulswamini Ambabai. Ashaji, MD - Vishwanath More and Lyricist Jagdish Khebudkar Enjoy this song.


Can some one pleeeaaase upload following songs ? Those must have already been 'ul'ed earlier, but not available at present.

For song 2, no need to die. You will njoy it alive (yachi dehi). I will surely upload it in marathi forum. As far as I know, it is solo song by Ashaji. never heard it was also sung (co-sung) by Babuji.

Song 3: If you are talking about "Prabhu Somanatha..." I have it. I will upload it for you.
