Requesting again for a lovely and lesser heard Ashaji's song from the movie Phir Wohi Dil Laya hoon

What I have and uploaded here is a cassette version. I looked up quite a few sites before posting the request here. Most sites have all other songs of PWDLH, not this

Do members have this song? http://ifile.it/546gysc

Would request upload please

Link to the song on a shared server ( i put up the songs on a shared server 'cause the songs are recorded from radio, and sometimes incomplete, sound quality OK)

Also making a request for two other Asha ji songs:

Kitna haseen hain jahan, jadu bhara hain sama, jaage hain armaan naye
Movie - Mr. X http://ifile.it/s5vb8yx

Aapki batein aapki kasmein - Movie - Kala Samandar - http://ifile.it/0rytq4x

Joy, sorrow, tears, lamentation, laughter — to all these music gives voice, but in such a way that we are transported from the world of unrest to a world of peace, and see reality in a new way, as if we were sitting by a mountain lake and contemplating hills and woods and clouds in the tranquil and fathomless water.

- Albert Schweitzer

Without music life would be a mistake
- Friedrich Nietzsche

Where words fail, music speaks
- Hans Christian Anderson

Music is spiritual. The music business is not
- Van Morrison

Bhavita,

Your radio recording of Phir Wohi Dila Laya song is quite good. It is intersting to note that it contains extra stanza. Swarapriya's upload of this album is available here.

Look for song titled, 'mujhe pyaar mein'.

I will try to upload the other two later.

Oh, this song! rolleyes.gif

I must say this "Meri Berukhi Tumne" song is a fairly well known one, at least to me! VB keeps airing it once a while. It used to be there even in my own HMV cassette featuring PWDL!

It is a nice song, no doubt, though I would rate "Aankhon Se Jo Utari" higher than this one, when we reckon the three non-Rafi songs of the Film!

Many sincere thanks, Bhavita, for reminding me of this nice song! smile.gif

Venkat

I have changed many views in life since my childhood, but not my view of Rafi Saab as the God-sent Gandharva who visited this Earth briefly to spread ultimate ecstasy among genuine music-lovers!

Thank you, Exon

Yes.. Venkat.. Infact I have also heard this only on Vividh Bharati.. years ago. Not lately
For me., both the songs ankhon se jo utari, and this have have their own unique place - since both are different - in their compositions, tune, renditions and the emotion of the song itself. I have always had a greater penchant for "pathos" anyways. "Sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thoughts..."
