There was this serial starring a gal who looked like Meena Kumari. I dont remember so well but probably it had something to do with army. May be her first name was Kavita. Does anyone remember this serial or the name of the actress?

I liked her character in Udaan very much

She is a cousin of Kiran Bedi too

She is writing scripts for films ( Badhaai Ho Badhaai )

Recently we discussed the same on RMIM.. about a couple of weeks back..
here is one on my post :



She wasn't Priya Tendulkar.. but Kavita Chaudhary.. later acted in her
own serial Udaan (story of struggle of a middle class girl and journey
to become an IPS officer).. The serial had used a song as a theme song
(most probably "Kisi ki muskuraahaton pe ho nisaar") sung by Vikram
Gokhle in many episodes.. at the same time Nukkad too had a version of
"Apni kahaani chhod ja, mausam beeta jaaye" as a kind of theme song...
The two serials made quite a good use of those old songs,integrating
with storyline... Let me confess, my love for mausam beeta jaaye
started with Nukkad..


In early 90's Kavita Chaudhary did tried her hand at Film direction
and the outcome was a big flop film starring Rekha (i think with the
same name Udaan and it took quite long in making..)
