Incidently, there could have been another song by Mukeshji in Marathi - 'Ya phulanchya gandhakoshi' was earlier composed by Hridaynath Mangeshkar snd was intended for Mukeshji, but he shied away and refused to sing even after preparing for recording. He said that Hridaynathji himself is more fit to sing the difficult song.
This story was revealed by Hridaynathji a few months ago on TV Zee Marathi in the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa -Aajcha Aawaj'' program while commenting on Mukeshji.

It was C Ramchandra who introduced Mahendra Kapoor First as a playback singer in Hindi film Navrang (1959).

Here are two Marathi songs in which these two are involved :

Thanks for uploading this! This song was released on an LP where MSS sang devotional songs in 10/11 Indian languages - IIRC, in this was in the early 1970s.
