basically mohd. aziz is also known as the bengal tiger- obviously cos his from bengal & also cos of his very

high pitch & range capeability.

his also affectionally known as munna aziz cos he sounded so innocent & sweet at the lower scale romantic

numbers. (especially when pronouncing his 'S's).

according to aziz himself-

he told me that when he first arrived in bombay- his first song recording was 'teri raaha mein

ek dipak jalaa kar' in 1982 for jugal kishore.

by the way which also had an absolutely beautiful romantic kishore solo too.

That was his first song?!? That is one lovely sad song! Ok my admiration for this singer just multiplied 100 fold. Amazing job for a first recording, I'm still trying to get my hands on a good copy of that song. So that would be Amber instead of what I previously thought was a song from Anokha Insaan (that info thanks to a friend). - The KK solo of course being Dekha Jo Maine Chehra Tumhaara Mera Dil Pukaara Tauba Tauba Tauba


Yeah I believe I learned that at HF itself, why does the CD credit Mohd Aziz on that one?

to be honest deewani not many people did/or do know that!

infact did u know in some earlier 80's films eg:

amitabhs 'aakhree raasta' in 1986-

in the playback credits mohd. aziz was often credited as 'munna aziz ' officially!

i know people who thought s.janaki was a man so there u go!

Ok mind reader ji I was exactly looking at that credit on the CD of Aakhree Raasta when I made the post and promptly changed it to Mohd Aziz, lol. Also I believe the same is on the vinyl of Main Balwaan.

trust me - munna aziz ji& shabbir kumar sahhab are much much better singers than we give them credit for.

and secondly that kishore solo in ambar 'tauba tauba... tauba' is just mind-blowing.

I really can't thank you enough for these two numbers, it has been a very long time since I heard the first one and a complete version of Teri Raahon Mein.

Oh I was just saying that on the Aap Ke Sath CD the credit is wrong, but we all know now that is not the only mistake T-series made on that soundtrack (referring to the Anuradha version of Jind Le Gaya which is credited to Lata).

Lovish you are probably not compressing the files and trying to upload the mp3 or whatever the format it is in. You need to use winzip/winrar to compress the files to bear the extension names .RAR or .ZIP

Deewani Ji has got this i requested it some time ago

It is called Darya Mein Baha Do. It was ripped off an cassette. I will have to look for where i have placed the filed. I am sure 100% that I have this song thanks to Deewani.

Ps. I cannot understand why this song is not on the cassette or Cd aswell because i had the same problems has you. This song is probably the best song in the film!!!!!

As far as i know there was no Tape or CD released for this film. The only source is VCD/DVD It is a very long delayed Shashi kapoor/ Sharmila Tagore/ Sekhar suman film from 80s released in 1996.
