I have finally got round to splitting the files. As I mentioned video quality is inferior. And in mujhse pehli si they seemed to have chopped off a bit. cry.gif

Also uling the snippets of Dilip Kumar talking about Madam and Madam's words to the audience.

Great effort Priya!!!! clap1.gif Bohat din baad tumne kuchh upload kiya tongue.gif I have the entire show on VHS. I love her rendition of 'Awaz de kahaan hai' she had added some additional alaaps in the song --- that was lovely ---- sach poochho tou mujhey original version se bhi zyaada pasand aaya ye smile1.gif I will surely download these fles --- Video hai na?

Yes I too like tha additions made to aawaz de. But best is the way Madam manages to smile and interact with the audience through her eyes, even while singing.

Tell me, in Ur vhs also is mujhse pehli si mohabbat chopped in between? There is a portion after aawaz de where Naushadsaab comes to the mic to speak and they cut that too in this tape. Yeh bhi vhs se hi convert kiya hai. cry.gif

Haan, loved the black sari!!!!!! I love many of her saris especially the blacks and whites. And love her single solitaire too. wub.gif

My vhs was given by dear Robinbhai. I got it converted here in a local shop but they did a bad job. of course tape bhi purana tha or format alag tha. Any shop will do it for U. U just have to find the right ppl. As vhs is out of the market now, conversion is a big business.

BTW tumhara Lata song ul kiya hai in cdq on the Lata forum. smile1.gif

Btw...does anyone know if there are earlier recordings of the (ghazals?) hum na nhat khat hain na"...or 'raat pehli hai'..?...wud be interested in having a hear....thanx again Priya....Bilal

To my knowledge, She sang these ghazals first time in 1992 for Ptv's music show 'Tarannum'.
