These are my best songs i think he sang.
DOEsnt necessarily mean these were the most popular, but in my opinion, the Songs that made his voice sound truly unique. Not even the Great Rafi would have sang these better, i think. 1. Mujhe Peene Ka Shok Nahin- COOLIE 2. Chand Chhupta Hai- AAP KE SAATH 3. Tumne Di Awaaz- BETAAB 4. Mere Saath O , Jeevan Saathi- BAAZI 5. Mubarak Ho Tum Sabko Haaj Ka Maheena- COOLIE 6. Sau Saal Tak Rahe- PYAR KIYA HAI PYAR KARENGE 7. Pyar Kiya Nahin Jaatha- WOH SAATH DIN 8. Dard Diya Hai Tune- MERE MANG SAJO DO 9. Jab Hum Jawaan Honge- BETAAB 10. Tumse Milkar- PYAR JHUKTA NAHIN 11. Jano Janam Jaaneman-SULTANAT (DOES ANYONE HAVE THIS SONG) Let me know what you think?? |

Great choices shazaad. Sultanat has been shared by Guruji here:
http://www.hamaraforums.com/index.php?show...mp;hl=sultanant Let's not make this a Rafi vs Shabbir thread please. IMHO you cannot compare singers, I'll leave it at that. Doston, Apna Tau Yeh Imaan Hai Jo Bhi Jitna Saath De, Ehsaan Hai Umr Ka Rishta Jodne Waale Apni Nazar Mein Deewane Hai Thanks for the memories HF. Bye Bye. deewani is "permanently away" |

thanks for the reply.
i take your comments and board, and you are correct, but remember he was never trained professionally. Plus, maybe im just being biased, but i love his voice. Mujhe peene ka shok nahin was flawless, but i guess we all have our opinions. And i still Rafi was the greatest, but i just think these songs were best suited to Shabbir Saabs voice. |

Its quite simple, Rafi was the greatest, we all know that.
But theres always room for others. Sonu Nigams doing a great job right now, but back in the 80's, there was a huge void left by the Great Man, and i think Shabbir saab did a great job, and was not correctly acknowledged. |

the song Mausam Deewana Hai, does anyone have it.
I cant recall it. I was very young during Shabbir Saabs reign. i was only 6!! But i remember most songs well. And i love singing his songs. Infact, the 1st song i performed was Sau Saal Tak Rahe when i was 14 at my cousins wedding. Big wedding, 1600 people, 1 very nervous teenager, but i came through!! Also Maang Saja Do Meri - 1984 Music: Laxmikant Pyarelal Story By : MANMOHAN DESAI Lyrics: Anjaan,Prayag Raaj & Naqsh Lyalpuri Produced By: Raj Bathija Directed By: Prayag Raaj Stars: Rishi Kapoor, Sanjeev Kumar, Ranjeeta, Amjad Khan, Kadar Khan, Asha Parekh & Lalitha Pawar COURTESY OF DK |
