Can you clarify if there were more than one music directors. In your uploads I see names of Bulo C Rani, A R qureshi, Khaiyyaam and G M Durrani. Earthmusicnet also gives several music directors. rpnawani |

Rani was the main MD for this film. Khaiyyam was his assistant at that time, so it is possible that Khaiyyam composed a few songs. I had never heard of A R Qureishi being associated with this film, though. Can anyone with HFGK verify that different songs have been credited to Bulo C. Rani and Khaiyyam? I am also liL confused about the Music Dir.
 As per said AdityaJi, and the Information Gathered by me from different sources (like earthmusic.net, metaData...etc) Bulo C. was the Mainstream Music Director and Khayyam assisted composing couple of songs. and Even w.r.t few different sites I got some info that sharmaji was also assist. Sharmaji is Khayyam. In the early 50s, Khayyam composed under the name of Sharmaji. I am not sure but "Footpath" may be the first film that he composed under the name "Khayyam".
According to the HFGK, there are 3 composers for this film - Bulo C Rani, Sharmaji and Bhola ShreshTa. It does not mention A R Qureshi. However, it is not clear on who composed what. It seems like "HameN chhoD ke na jaana" - the Asha solo, is composed by BCR. But I am not even sure of that. |
