A culmination of Indian Ragas and Jazz....A musical dimension envisioned and worked together by Pt. Ronu Majumdar and Louis Banks. Accompanying them are Sivamani, Raja, Taufiq Qureshi and Karl Peters

The tracks as detailed out on the album:

Reverie - composed by Louis Banks
An amalgamation of Raag Bhopali and Shivaranjani with a pinch of Vibhas in the Carnatic style

Lotus - composed by Louis Banks

A serene melody, a solful conversation between two intesne lovers...The lilting melody takes the listener on a tranquil musical journey

Seven steps to Niravana
Composed by Louis Banks
Experience a highly spirited dance with the flute ...

Rain
Composed by Pt. Ronu Majumdar

A pure form of Raag Mian Malhar depicting a feeling of achievement and joy. The melodious complex scale of Raag Mian Malhar has the two percussionists Sivamani and Raja playing a teasing jugalbandi towards the end

Saraswati
Composed by Pt. Ronu Majumadar

A spontaneous divine composition by Pt. Ronu Majumdar while performing with the same group at the Osho commune. Based on Raag Saraswati

Vande Mataram
Jointly conceived by Pt. Ronu Majumdar and Louis Banks

A beautiful patriotic melody based on the orginal Raag Desh - it expressess all that the Album stands for - Unity, Peace and Harmony

Joy, sorrow, tears, lamentation, laughter — to all these music gives voice, but in such a way that we are transported from the world of unrest to a world of peace, and see reality in a new way, as if we were sitting by a mountain lake and contemplating hills and woods and clouds in the tranquil and fathomless water.

- Albert Schweitzer

Without music life would be a mistake
- Friedrich Nietzsche

Where words fail, music speaks
- Hans Christian Anderson

Music is spiritual. The music business is not

Hi SF...
On this forum attachments not allowed sad1.gif
also this album was released in 2001, so anyways, cant upload...

Let me know if you'd want it mailed - will mail it out when sending to Sureshji

Regards
Bhavita

PS: missed mentioning - the ratio really does not matter...as long as I am on the positive, it is fine...And there still is an abundance of music to upload even otherwise smile1.gifsmile1.gif
