(Dharmendra) Lohpurush (1999)
Hollywood may have discovered that there is a lot of money in the comic book hero "Iron Man" but Hindi film industry had its own "Iron Man" in Dharmendra way back in 1999 in this film "Lohpurush". Dharmendra made series of bad movies in 90's that are utterly forgettable. This one is one of them. He looked tired, old, and appeared not enjoying what he was doing. Can't blame him squarely. This probably for the 50th time he was reprising the same old tried and contrived role. I am uploading songs from this film in two back-to-back posts. Here is the first set of songs... These are the last songs of Dharmendra from the last century I will be uploading here. We started this thread way back in December 2009. Since then I have uploaded songs from about 240 films starring Dharamji. Even though he acted in some very bad films starting in late 80’s, there is no doubt that he made a deep and lasting impression among many filmgoers as a fine artiste. In this century he still continues to be active. His most recent film was “Yamla Pagla Deewana-2” with both of his sons as his costars. It was a joy for me to share these songs through this thread. With the last two postings of this film, we not only conclude Dharamji’s films of 20th century but also bring a closure to the “Saat Saath” thread. I have uploaded songs from around 1,020 films in this time lasting about 53 months. It was such fun… I am uploading songs from this film in two back-to-back posts.
