QUIZ No 5 http://www.mediafire.com/?h92tmrbvjhu Is it an SJ song? I have changed many views in life since my childhood, but not my view of Rafi Saab as the God-sent Gandharva who visited this Earth briefly to spread ultimate ecstasy among genuine music-lovers!

Venkat..this discussion is much more enjoyable than anything around. Okay, here is one more..just to check up...a PRELuDe this time...a fine piano piece..Will be waiting for your reaction.. QUIZ No 5 http://www.mediafire.com/?h92tmrbvjhu Could not get it, SF. But, once again a few suggestions, as you are willing to listen! Wherther prelude or interlude, you should u/l the entire (100%) bit leading all the way upto the vocals of the singer. What I mean is that you should not cut short that prelude or interlude or whatever. The reason is that a musical bit will reach the song's scale only at its very end. If it is stopped short (even by 4 or 5 seconds), it will give a wrong signal. Hope I could communicate. Venkat PS. Incidentally, in the Quiz 5 bit that you u/led, it is not that piano or piano-like instru. that throws the light, but it is the accordion that comes in the second 21 seconds. It is that accordion part that has an unmistakeable SJ stamp. Actually, it sounded very much like the music of "Bol Ri Kat Putli Dole Kaun Sang" song from Kat Putli by Lata. You r absolutely right Venkatji...Because at the end of the prelude we must get the scale of tune which helps us to recognize the starting tune and all...The clip ended suddenly...so it is very difficult for me at least..

Subir Subir Ji, I am sure you make a very good Quiz Master, in addition to a replier. So, please keep asking questions by u/ling more preludes/interludes Same goes for Pinky too. I do not have presently the cutter software. Otherwise, I would have plunged in too. Sorry, power went out and hence couldnt write any remarks...actually i gave a music bit of 42 seconds...and the voice / vocal starts at 45 seconds..
Fact is that unless you love the song...and already heard for a number of times, we just cant guess the right answer...my idea. But as Venkat said...may be time for someone else to post the songs..? here is the song from Kathputli posted on mediafire..as the bit rate is very low.. http://www.mediafire.com/?jkcyx19wj9x Here is one more example of what I am saying...i give this link for a SiX second prelude..out of 21 seconds..and am sure that you will jump to an answer with in seconds.. What i normally do is play the bit on media player or some other software in repeat mode..so the bit keeps on playing in cycle..and Voila..the idea might hit you ... Try it. http://www.mediafire.com/?wbzggwcttbz This post has been edited by simplefable: Jun 21 2008, 02:04 PM After silence that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.
