Hi friends,
could anyone please kindly 'enlighten' me on who this singer Nitin Mukesh is? I have heard him sing and think that his style is identical to Mukesh saab's. Is he a relative on Mukesh in some way??? I believe that this singer had started singing in Hindi Films in the early 80's/90's.
Please can anyone post some information on him.

there is one particular song sung by nitin mukesh, i think it is a duet with mohd.aziz or shabbir kumar.
the song goes like this 'Paani Khoon Nahin Banta... Khoon Nahin Banta Pani.. Oh Bhaiya Tu Hai Meri Jaan..' the film starred Anil Kapoor & Dharmendra, the song is also picturised on them both. If anyone has this song plz u/l it or atleast tell me the film name

it was very popular then and still is.
i read that he is always requested to sing that one.

Not neccessily Nimii Ji, because there is an pakistani singer named Anwar Rafi who has an distinctive style like Rafi Saabs but is not related to Rafi in any way. So i guess your wrong!

Nitin was able to imitate Mukesh's songs better than Manhar but not the voice.
Actually Dr Kamlesh Awasthi is the closest match to Mukesh's voice that I have come across.
Especially when you hear him live.

yayayya.. Sigh.. he has a very thin voice.. In fact Manhar had a voice that was closer to Mukesh ji Nimii, I have heard somewhere that Manhar used to dub Mukesh's songs so that actors can lip-sync on it. Later Mukesh would re-record the song in his voice. That is how Manhar started his career.
However, later he had established his own voice with songs like "Loote Koi Mann Ka Nagar", "Hum Tumhein Chahte Hain" and all...
He is a good singer IMHO and I am a big fan of his Gujarati Ghazals

Manhar Udhas is the brother of Pankaj Udhas & Nirmal Udhas.
Manhar Udhas was the playback singer for mainly Jackie Shroff films like:
Mera Jawaab
Paisa Yeh Paisa
Hero
Ram Lakhan
Mera Dharam
He also was the playback singer for Anil Kapoor in Kishen Kanhaiya
remember 'Radha Bina Hai Kishen Akela'
wat a beautiful song!

thanks to Mukesh, we could actualy hear manhar.
and about nitin's dancing, i too have seen him dancing in live shows of LP.
and thankfully i was in front of tv and not there.
i could see that he enjoyed his gyrations but not so sure about the audiance.
( music director sajjad's son used to play mendolin in Pankaj Udhas' orchestra. )

i swear, u can never distinguish his voice from mukeshji.
babla's voice has that much resemblance with that of mukeshji.

It is awful to see him dance I saw him sing and dance for patli kamar hai tirchi nazar hai .. AYYOOOOOOOOOOOOO NAHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII *he didnt have either 
He has a distinguished voice and nice to hear.. so gaya yeh jahan so gaya aasman.. from Tezaab is one of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr Kamlesh Awasthi has been singing Mukesh songs in front of live audience since 30+ years. After Mukesh's death he gave playback
for couple of films. One of them was for Raj Kapoor starer. I have seen
him live couple of times. IMHO he is closet match to Mukesh.
By proffesion I think he has Phd. in Chem.

Apart from Loote Koi Man and HumTumhe chahte.., I also remember his songs from a flop movie called Bahar Aane Tak, which had some very melodious songs, like muhabbat inaayat Karam...
