Maihar musicians can always be told by their allegiance to a few of Baba's favorite raagas such as Manjh Khamaj, Shuddha Basant, Kirwani etc. That said, I was always surprised that Nikhil babu never played Shuddha Basant. Of course that was just my ignorance and I recently learnt that he did indeed play the raaga. If anyone has details of the album or even better, can upload it, please do.
