Wondered whether I should upload this on Fusion or on Raag Rang. Chose to post this on Fusion as this album is truly a synthesis of the East and West together

The vocals are by Ustad Salamat Ali Khan and Ustad Shafqat Ali Khan, and flute by Pandit Raghunath Seth and Chris Hinze, a Dutch Flautist.

Chris Hinze, born in Netherlands, began his musical studies on the Piano at the age of 12. After working as a Pianist all over Europe, Chris Hinze returned to Holland to study Flute. He visited India in 1974 to study flute and ragas with Pandit Raghunath Seth. Later Hinze invited Pt. Raghunath Seth for concert tours in Europe and recorded many CDs together.

Princess of the Sea is one such colloboration

Joy, sorrow, tears, lamentation, laughter — to all these music gives voice, but in such a way that we are transported from the world of unrest to a world of peace, and see reality in a new way, as if we were sitting by a mountain lake and contemplating hills and woods and clouds in the tranquil and fathomless water.
