Powered by her impressive performance in the Japan Open, India's rising star Sania Mirza jumped six places to her career-high 31st in singles and 14 places to another career-best 114th in doubles, according to the latest WTA rankings.

Sania, who featured in the Time magazine's cover page recently, had reached her career best ranking of 34th after she made it to the pre quarter-finals in the US Open.

After below-par performances in Bali and Sunfeast Open, she moved down to 37th but came back roaring after the impressive show in Japan Open, where she entered semi finals in singles and in doubles.

In the doubles rankings, Sania is now ranked at an all time career high of 114th from last week's 128th, which was aided by her semi final appearance partnering Shahar Peer of Israel in the Japan Open.

US-based Shikha Uberoi moved down to 149th slot from last week's 146th in the singles rankings while her sister Neha did the same slipping down seven places from 272nd to be at 277th.

In the doubles also, the two sisters moved down the ladder. While Neha slipped one place to be at 135th, Shikha is now at 158th, three places down from last week's 155th.

Another Indian Rushmi Chakravarthi moved up two places to be at the 422th position in the singles.

Sanaa Bhambri stood at 473rd position in singles moving six places up from last week's 479th while her sister Ankita also moved up five places from 504th to 499th.
