Seriously I generally get the feeling that very few Rafians like his old songs... 40s and 50s. I personally like his songs more when he was young, when his voice had those boyish charms...
Songs those were popular hits in the b/w era. Those that were picturized on Johnny Walker, Guru dutt, Dev Aaaannnand, Dilip Kumar. What say? kuch bhi nahin hai tera mol, boli na badi bol, khilona tu maati ka...

Pradeep ji
I really LOVE the late 40s and 50s songs of Mohammed Rafi. I think I get the most nostalgic feeling from those songs. They seem too rich in that singing and the music. In my car today, I was listening to few duets of Rafi-Suraiya from Shama Parwana, Sanam and some Rafi-Shamshad duets....Heavenly voices All late 40s and early-mid 50s. They catch on to me baby....fast Just now Am listening to Duniya Hai Barbaad Dil Ki....from Meena Bazaar Rafi and Lata Sharad |
