Harjinder In berween DB of 1941 and DB of 1956, no other DB was produced. The Munawar Sultana/kabootra songs is from 1956 DB film... a Pakistani film. You can see that both were made in Lahore. MDs were different. DB 1956 was very popular in Indian Punjab too. HMV India could produce records of Pakistani films with permission from HMV Pakistan or could import them from Pakistan. The year (1945) given by HMV is just a typo. |

The problem in accepting OPN's contention is that as per published records, DB 1941 was concieved and production started in late 1940. Its release date is March 26, 1941. |
