I don't know about his situation and that album. But I do know that everytime I have seen him in concert that's what he does, and he does it very well. It maybe that he did not want to commercially release such an album, but I can't believe that he does not enjoy singing his father's cover versions, anyone who has gone to a concert can tell how much he enjoys it. One of the concerts I went to few years back - he went on well past 2 am at night because we were such a good, small, intimate audience and he was having too much fun. In fact he was frowning at requests for songs from 80s hits like Love Story/Romance, etc, preferring to do golden oldies.

AMIT KUMAR's recent comeback is one of the biggest comebacks of all-time with doubt!

HE NEVER EVER GIVES UP & SHOWS SO MUCH CLASS & UNIQUE QUALITIES!!!



we can learn so much from AMIT KUMAR his so inspirational!!!

just think AMIT KUMAR has sung with legends like ASHA, LATA, KISHORE, RAFI etc...

then went onto to sing the likes of: SHAILENDRA SINGH, MANHAR UDHAS, ANWAR, SHABBIR KUMAR,

MOHD. AZIZ, NITIN MUKESH & SURESH WADAKAR etc in the 80s then...




continued with singers like KUMAR SANU, DEBASHISH DASGUPTA, VIPIN SACHDEVA etc in the 90s...

& here we are 2007- AMIT KUMAR is still going strong as ever!

my question is WHERE are the REST of the 80s singers?


i honestly think its time we ALL took our hats off to AMIT KUMAR for his FIGHTING spirit which never seems

to end!


the man is born a WINNER! (a chip off the old block hey?)


i cant speak highly enuff of him NOT only as an incredible singer but equally as role model to those who give
