The first music based serial on DD presented some of our finest Chayavad poets like Mahadevi Varma, Sumitra Nandan Pant, Jaishankar Prasad, Suryakant Tripathi Nirala as well as Urdu Poets , with music by Jaidev

I remember waiting every week for this programme ready with my cassette recorder to capture the songs. While some of these treasures sung by Asha Bhonsle did get released later in an Album "Suranjali" ( A tribute to Jaidev by Asha Bhonsle) the others just got lost
I contacted the Sangeet Bhavan Trust today and placed a request for these recordings. I have been asked to call them back again tomorrow. Here is hoping for the best....
