Happy new year to all Kishore Kumar fans !!

Look at our own Kishoreda's resolutions - printed in Filmfare on 1st Jan 1958 ! !

This is the first time I am making new year resolutions. All these years I had no time for the promises that we make to ourselves and never keep. I was too busy keeping the promise I ever made to myself - to make money ! And I kept it in the most effective way, 'playing the fool' in my roles and the songs. But now I have made up my mind (my wife is peeping sceptically over my shoulder as I write this) to discard my 'monkey tricks'. And there are other resolutions as well. I shall (try my best to) stop teasing actresses and make them laugh just when the camera is switched on! I shall (try my best to) stop irritating my producers with my pranks on the set and also I shall stop passing inconvenient remarks about people when they do not expect them.
I shall certainly show some music directors that I can sing serious songs as well. I shall put my new convictions (not someone else's) in the films i am going to make in the new year. And finally I shall make Dadamuni (Ashok Kumar) play a comedy role in my current production. if i do not succeed in this, who knows I may not succeed in any of my other resolutions, too. No matter - there is always a next year !
