Yaaro yoon to main MAJROOH saab ke shagird hoon. magar fir bhi apni Urdu/hindi thodi beak hai.
 Aap logo se kuch songs ke urdu words ka meaning poochna chahta hoon. I hope jaankar log jaroor post karenge. Jaise Gangster2006 ka song " ya ali Madad ali " mera bahut bahut fav hai. magar saare words nehi paley padte  please tell me the meaning following words Ishq Pe Mita Doon Luta Doon Main Apani Khudi ( wat does khudi mean) Mujhe Kuchh Pal De Purvat Ke ( what is purvat ??) Faki Ham teri Chahat Ke ( what is faki ?? ) Rahe Bechain Dil Kab Tak Milen Kuchh Pal Toh Raahat Ke I just love the above stanza but cant enjoy it fully as I dont know the meaning of words. Aap isko Test of urdu/hindi samjh sakte hain open to corrections Sonu forgive me if I miss replying or reading ur post............bit busy :-( !

The word may be Ghurbat.....means poority To know meaning of Urdu words, you need to hear first the word clearly so others could reply. And wrong delivery of Urdu words in song / poetry leades totally different meaning. I remember in one Orchestra group a local singer was performing his song as practise. The song was from movie "Alag Alag" and the bol was..."Nahi Jeena Nahi Jeena Tere Bin Nahi Jeena.." That singer was under impression that word Jeena might need to pronounce as 'Zeena' in Urdu...After many takes, owner of the Orchestra said....yes ok....I called that singer aside and explained him the meaning of Zeena. And he surprised. Another story I heard from one of my best friend Mr. Habib (who sung for Babla Orchestra from 1974-1982-83). There was a lady singer with them and they were out of India to perform show. The song was "Koi Patthar Se Na Mare Mere Deewane Ko" (Laila Majnoo).. At one stanza the singer was pronouning "Bahot Langoor Hai Ye...Ghamon Se Choor Hai Ye" and my friend was smiling….Later on he explained that the word was “Ranjoor”….not Langoor… So please listen carefully and write correct word….I hope people know Urdu will help you. The word is fakeeran, no doubt. 80 percent of the time I listen to music, it's on headphones, gives better clarity. Please try this and let me know what you think. I can't tell you how many songs I listened to in my childhood that have changed so much with better equipment to hear them.

Qurbat ( the state of being togather/close) .. the opposite of Qurbat is Furqat../judaayi/separation... I do not think the word in second line is 'faki'. A clean/clear clip is needed to get what it actually is. |
