Amit kumar also being a great fan...

A fan meeting his idol - wonder what must have gone through Kishore Kumar's mind when he met the Israeli actor, Chaim Topol ? Also this shows the passion that Kishore had towards performing art and artists in general. There are similar instances of Kishore attending classical musicians' and singers' concerts too !
Here is one fascinating incident, as reported by Filmfare, Oct 16th 1983.
-----------------

Ever since he saw "Fiddler On The Roof" some two decades ago, Kishore Kumar has been a Topol fan. Over the years he has grown more and more fond of the actor and never missed an opportunity to watch him on screen.
So during his recent stay in England, when he read an advertisement that Topol was staging "Fiddler On The Roof" , Kishore jumped with joy. He managed to get tickets for himself and wife Leena and sons Amit and Sumeet in the front row. He was so thrilled when Topol walked on to the stage, that he started clapping loud which attracted the attention of the actor. Kishore saw the play sitting in the front row, four times along with his family. So by the time Kishore was invited over by Topol, Topol was already familiar with the faces of his Indian admirers.
"I have been your fan for 20 years. I have seen your film 'Fiddler On The Roof' over 70 times. And now here, I have seen the play four times," Kishore told Topol, excited like a child.
"No, you have seen the play only three and a half times," Topol corrected him, to Kishore's amazement. "The third time you walked out half way through." Kishore agreed, "I had to leave the hall because my little son was about to start crying."
Kishore presented Topol a collection of his cassettes, which Topol has promised to listen carefully. Topol told Kishore that Raj Kapoor had once attended his play, and Topol himself had recognised him and called him on stage.
