Mohammed Rafi's 85 or so female singers: 43.Poornima 68.Sushma Sreshta And approximately 6 or 7 others!!!! Venkat Venkat, Aren't #43 & #68 same singer? + Sharmila Tagore + Saira Banu Exon Yes Exon! Those two are same!! Btw, that is the only such case of repetition in that list!!! Otherwise, Geeta Dutt appears only as Geeta Dutt and not as Geeta Roy too! Suman comes only as Suman Kalyanpur and not as Suman Hemadi too!!! Venkat I have changed many views in life since my childhood, but not my view of Rafi Saab as the God-sent Gandharva who visited this Earth briefly to spread ultimate ecstasy among genuine music-lovers!

Year : 1942 Movie : Mangti Language : Punjabi Aryanraj I wasn't aware of this Mangti song being sung by Rafi. Also, I thought the female singer was Manorma not Zeenat Begum, although Zeenat Begum some other songs in the film. Mangti is a 1942 release with music by Pandit Govind Ram. If the singer is Rafi, its one of his handful of earliest recordings available. Goriye Nee Soniye Nee is another Punjabi song - composed by Shyam Sunder - which is considered Rafi's first recorded song. I know this is a long shot, but do you have that song? The surprising thing with this song, now that I'm hearing it again is that the tune is almost exactly the same as that of Amuwa Pe Panchhi Bawra which was sung by Parul Ghosh, GM Durrani and composed by Naushad Ali for Namaste (1943), a year after this song. Naushad is not known for plagiarising so that makes this a bit surprising.... Kind Regards Faraaj Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent. - Victor Hugo There is only one better thing than music - live music. - Jacek Bukowski I hate music, especially when it's played. - Jimmy Durante No good opera plot can be sensible, for people do not sing when they are feeling sensible. - W. H. Auden |

Imho, the male singer in this Mangti upload is most likely not Mohammed Rafi, though at some places he resembles Rafi!!! I can see how the error could be made because their is an element of similarity...the voice doesn't have that famous "soz"...
