Mahesh Bhai
He also composed the music (I don't know if there were any songs) for a TV series called Hum Log. Would you have that track? Kind Regards Faraaj Kind Regards Faraaj Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent. - Victor Hugo There is only one better thing than music - live music. - Jacek Bukowski I hate music, especially when it's played. - Jimmy Durante No good opera plot can be sensible, for people do not sing when they are feeling sensible. - W. H. Auden |

While the Mukesh (solo as well as duets) are more popular, the other songs are rare. I heard the Meena K and Lata solos now and found it real AB class. Thanks a lot. Sincere regards, Rajan This post has been edited by RajanCS: Feb 16 2009, 05:09 PM |

I am sooo thankful to you!! I've been looking for these songs in various places in India and on the internet. I usually get very blank looks upon mention of this very important movie which apparently won awards but due to failure at the commercial box-office, led to the demise of a stellar performer of the Indian cinema- Motilal. Doordarshan used to play this movie in the 60s. I can't find any trace of this movie in CD or VCD or DVD format.

Nandi ji I too have been looking for this movie, in any format I can get, but no luck so far. Since you seen the movie, was the song " zindgi khwab hey.." included in the movie or was the song released later as a tribute to late Motilal. I would love to get the video of the song, but someone in HF had mentioned that the song was not in the VCD print. I read an article stating that Motilal was not well towards the end and there were lot of problems releasing the movie. Mukesh and Anil Biswas had a big hand in getting the release finally. Mahesh ji thanks for the rare u/l. R a m e s h

Thanks for uploading these rare gems. These are some of the best compositions of Anil Biswas and will rank among the best in Indian film music. Particularly, Zindagi Khwab Hai, Lakdi Jal Koyla Bhai, Andhi Hai Duniya and Zindagi Ka Ajab Fasana Hai.
