I saw Blow last week, and I think its one of Johnny Depp's under-rated movies.Perhaps because not many people appreciate watching a movie based on drugs.

This movie is abit different, which does not deal with evils of drugs. Its the story of an American who achieve The Dream American Dreams by drug-dealing.

I heard talks of Benicio Del Toro *ring in a film abt Pablo Escobar... hope that comes to fruition.

Blow isnt underrated, if anythin its overrated! Even George Jung came out sayin the film wasnt anythin like wot I went through.

No need to convince me, lol!! biggrin.gif My favorite scene is in the courtroom when he tries to charm the judge, a rare wink and smile from the man. Now you have to watch Donnie Brasco for sure, and soon he will be back in the theaters in a Michael Mann film! biggrin.gif Playing non other then John Dillinger in Public Enemies. (he will be also filling in for the late Heath Ledger in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus; that is, if Terry Gilliam's notorious bad luck doesn't keep it from happening - see Lost In La Mancha for that reference)

Lol, yeah he did a great job in that one, playing a teenage Agatha Christie in Sleepy Hollow was awesome too, Depp + Burton = magic.

Edward Scissorhands is my fav too. Whatever happened to Winonna Ryder? It has been a while since I saw her. last year (or was it year before) I saw her in some anime sort of film with Keanu ...gave me so much headache had to turn it off in first 20 minutes.

And Yes yes Blow totally rocks.. Apart from Johnny's act , Cruz looked very very fresh also tongue1.gif

I haven't seen Man who Cried..Now since its in your list of his top performance I need to give it a dekkho. wink.gif

*adds it to the Netflix Q.

Winona Ryder is a babe!!!!!! She is at her prettiest in Bram Stoker's Dracula

I think Hollywood dropped her after her little stealing spree.

Does " What is eating Gilbert Grape? " figure on your list?? That was the first film i saw of Depp. I liked it more so...as Depp was totally free of any mannerisms... smile.gif

There are many "Deppisms" in Gilbert Grape too if you had followed him earlier - but see if you're talking to me about JD, well then it's just a trip to the insane asylum for you; a whole 'nother level of deewanapan, if you will... Normal is not what I am. laugh.gif My list would include most of his work post Jump Street, except Arizona Dream, but that too cannot be excluded because it's where we first see the clucking seen recently in Pirates 3.... he puts in things for his fans in all his movies, the ones that have followed him all along, as rewards for having watched him, most of the time they are the only ones that get the joke, even the director is clueless half the time. And now I'm gonna go mum on this topic as I have other places on the web to discuss this topic. smile.gif
