A new album I was gifted recently - Dancing Flute by Flautist, Composer and Arranger Bikramjit Singh

This 2 CD album is a compilation of some amazing compositions in flute.

Urge all of you who appreciate Indian Classical, as well as fusion music to visit the website: www.bikramflute.com to know more of the artiste and this new album. As detailed out in the biography of Bikramjit Singh, he belongs to the New Age musicians’ brigade who matches Indian spirituality with a Western perspective.

He has collaborated with renowned artists such as Karunesh of USA, Ronnie Benise of USA, Jorgon Ohnemus of Germany, Chinmaya Dunster of Great Britian, Sashtro of USA, Leslie Lewis of India, Amarish Leib of Germany, Maneesh Vyas of India, Marius Huesch of Germany, Atasa of Japan, Zhubin Kalhor of Iran, Prem Joshua of Germany, Wind Music of Taiwan and Tomas Mischoud of USA…
His album Himalayan Whisper has been listed for the Grammy in World Contemporary music in 2007.

I would be happy to upload the compositions of Dancing Flute on a shared site or mail them to anyone who requests for Dancing Flute....

Joy, sorrow, tears, lamentation, laughter — to all these music gives voice, but in such a way that we are transported from the world of unrest to a world of peace, and see reality in a new way, as if we were sitting by a mountain lake and contemplating hills and woods and clouds in the tranquil and fathomless water.

- Albert Schweitzer

Hi,

I live in Germany and have been trying to get these CDs for a couple of months now. But no website seems to be selling them. It will be great if you could share with others. But I have a problem downloading from this site. Even though I have uploaded a number of songs, my upload statistics remains zero. As a result, I can not download anything from this website, as yet.

I would be grateful if you could send me the mp3 version of this twin CDs to singh_avinash@hotmail.com

Hi,

Forgot to mention that I used to learn flute from Bikram about 8 years ago, but haven't been in touch since I left India. Btw, I have his album called "Himalayan Whishper" which is not available in India, so if anybody wants, I can try to upload it here or send it to any mail address. This album is an adaptation of music from north-eastern part of India, mainly Manipur, where Bikram's family still lives.

Dear Bhavitaji,

First, here is wishing you a very happy Deepawali.

I saw this thread of yours.
I have always liked this type classical/fusion music, like Amareesh Lieb.

Can you send them to my gmail ID?
In case you get Himalyan Whispers from Avinashji, please send that as well.

With best regards,
Suresh

Hi,

Talking of fusion music, does anybody want RhyDhun? It is an album composed by Taufiq (Zakir Hussain's brother).
