Thank you for the songs Mahesh, just wanted to bring to your notice that Amirbai Karnataki was from Karnataka - in fact she was given the title "Kannada Kokila"... she was from Bijapur in North Karnataka - which was part of Bombay State before 1956. She spent her last days in Bijapur.

But I have heard very few Kannada songs rendered by her..

Can you beleive that I have been searching for the below song from past many years?
I bought a move Kalavathi thinking that this song was from that movie (based on friends & my father suggestion - but it was kuhu kuhu song).

Just came to know that this song belonged to Kalpavriksha after Manna Dey sir got Dada phalke award.
