Hi Fans,
I am planning to invite play back singer Anwar Hussain for a private Mahfil in Al Ahsa Saudi Arabia sometime in 1st week of March this year.
I yesterday talked to him. I heard his very sweet sound. We are discussing the matter. In fact he agree to come but the main problem I am facing is visiting visa. You know it is not easy to get visit visa in Saudi Arabia unless you a Saudi national comes ahead. Hence we are looking a sponsor (a Saudi national as un alternate). I requested my Management to issue a invitation letter for him so we could get visa and they (my mgt) agreed. I hope the documentation work would not be troublesome and if everything goes smoothly, Insha Allah Anwar Hussain will be here as our very very special guest in our Mahfil.
If anyone of you are planning (really) to arrange any show at your local place I can provide his mobile as well as home telephone number for further discussion.

Visit visa to Saudi requires a sponsorship from a Saudi National.

Since we decided to bring Anwar Hussain for a private Mahfil, I have a series of talks with him and today I have received his passport copy (JPEG format) for further process...Hope it would work as I am expecting..FYI

hiya guys,
i wud love to invite anwar sahaab to the u.k. for shows infact his even asked me many times!
but the problem is we need a lot of people & complete /utter dedication/commitment!
it wud be nice to invite, ANWAR, SHABBIR KUMAR & MUNNA AZIZ to the u.k.
but sadly there DOESNT seem to be much DEMAND at all in the uk for these yesteryear singers!
its a real shame actually that the public only remember LATA, RAFI, KISHOREDA & ASHA!
i suppose thats why theyre classed as L.E.G.E.N.D.S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, Shabbir Bhai, its really a matter of shame that the people can not realize the importance of these legendary singers.

Why don't u invite him on a "UMRA" visa? Since, he is a muslim, he should have any problem! Forget about visiting visa....Saudis don't give visiting visas! I have been to Saudi arabia twice, they are very strict on visiting visas.

Enjoy, as I have had a great chance to be in his mehfil when he visited a friend of mine here in USA. There were only 40 people in the gathereing so I got to enjoy his misic sitting next to him. He is enjoyable.

Kya aapne Anwar ji ke present plans ke baare mein poocha. koi naya album ya fir koi movie mein songs etc arahe hain kya???

Hi,
I tried last week regarding visit visa for Anwar Hussain. And unfortunetly it refused. Explaining that the rules are to get only your parents and your In-Laws. No other than this. Bull shet.
Anyhow, I am trying some other way and passed this information to Anwar Hussain.
Indian Embassy, Riyadh organises some cultural programms and some of those people in Embassy are well known to one of best friends. I would reach them to get Anwar Hussain on Maharashtra day i.e. May 1st.
In the mean time I also convinced to one of the Saudi guy and he is partially ready for my offer to arrange visa. I will try in both the above way.
The third way to set the concert is to get him here on Umra visa which is very easy way. But it would be a big sin I would do. I dont want to play with any of the Islamic regulations.
I hope getting him here thru Indian Embassy will work. Let us hope for the best.
