AKF your songs reminded me of one great MD - Anand mailind who used AK very well. and gave some v good songs.

Yaad rakhegi duniya had music by Anand milind.(AM). And we rarely talk abt Anand milind- AK songs.

Infact AM used AK very well in 90s. till 93

One of my favs AK song " ek chand ko hum dekhnenge" is again by anand milind from Yaado ka mausam. Another fav of mine is Baaghi song " kaisa lagta hai " Baaghi I think is again by Anand mlind.

Baghi had one more great song - AK-only song - Tapori tapori . Sangdil sanam is another movie which had a great duet - aankhon mein band kar lo ! my fav song. but Didnt liked the picturiasation.

Remind you Anand milind did also gave lot of songs to Udit, Sanu , abhijeet during tht time !

Any more examples??

This song just kinda grows on you - jus cant stop listening to it. WOW!!!

Reading Amit Kumar's name on the credits is a good enough reason for a music lover to look forward to what is in the offering. Amit Kumar may certainly have found something special in 'Pyar Se' to give his consent.
The song is a take on 70s retro with the nostalgia of Kishore Kumar making it's presence felt.

Shrrameya completes shooting
The entire shooting of D’Silva Produtions’ Shrrameya has been completed recently in a non-stop 20-day shooting spell at Surve Farm, Panvel. Earlier the film’s six songs were recorded with Anup Jalota, Alka Yagnik, Shaan, Udit Narayan, Amit Kumar, Pamela Jain, Jubin, Sameer, master Sameer and Kailash Kher.

You have finally comeback.
I’m grateful to Pritam Chakravarthy for this (Dil main baji guitar). Pritam gave me a hit after a long dry spell. It was a high-pitched song, but that didn’t worry me. I never thought it would do well because I didn’t find it extraordinary. I was in America when I got a message that Dil mein baji guitar was doing very well.

How come there are two versions of the song?
(Laughs) The song has two versions – the other one’s by Mika Singh. I really don’t know the mystery behind this. When I bought the CD, I was very happy that my version hadn’t been dropped. Probably, Mika’s version was for Anupam Kher or Shreyas Talpade. I’m fine by this.

On hindsight, do you think you lost your way somewhere?
Once, there was sympathy for me, after my father passed away I was offered all the songs. My father would have been approached for if he were alive. Then, towards the mid 1990s my father’s clones cluttered the scene.
I was never a diplomat. I’ve always appreciated punctuality which I’m sorry to say was, lacking in the composers of the 1990s. I’ve walked out of recordings because composers arrived late. That got me a bad name.
My shows in India and overseas kept me going through. The period between 1994 – 2000 was the worst patch in my career. I think my daughter Muktika’s birth three years ago brought me luck. Life’s looking up now.

Do you think networking is rampant in the film industry today?
Too rampant. I don’t socialise much, but you don’t need to be a genius to know this. I see rivals hugging each other at parties as if they were long lost buddies. It’s strange how people bitch about others behind their back and praise them on their face when they need work. Chamchagiri works.

How are things between you and your stepmother Leena Chandavarkar and Sumit?
Perfect. Sumit and she come to my house very often. I go to their place quite often. We all are a joint family, but we don’t stay under the same roof. They stay at Carter Road. Hopefully we shall soon live together again. Leenaji, is a very talented lyricist. I’m 30 years older than Sumit. My daughters call Leenaji Bow Wow Dadi because she loves dogs.

Are you in touch with your mother Ruma Guha?
Of course, I am. She’s in Kolkata. She’s 73. She was very young when I was born. I’ve been close to her. She recently suffered a heart attack. She’s stable now. I talk to her once a day, every day She recently got a building for the Calcutta Youth Choir. She’s been working for that since decades.

Wasn’t there a property hitch back home in Khandwa?
No. Who told you this? This is absolute misinformation. There was no property hitch there. I had to transfer some property to Arjun Ganguly one of my cousins, which was his. I was only the guardian.

One career mistake you wish you could rectify.
I could be a little more diplomatic. No one waits for anyone in showbiz. I wish I’d realised that getting engrossed with an album dedicated to my father was getting me a bad name. I wasn’t around to prove it wrong. It was said I’d given up singing for others.

What next?
I wish to release an album of my father’s 10 unheard melodies. There’s also an album with Leenaji which has been unreleased since three years. We went from one music company to another. One company even said that the album was too melodious. I also have to get my plans for the Juhu bungalow. I’m singing for Viju Shah’s next project. And I’ve been doing some Bangla films too.

me neeraj this side u can do one thing put WinRAR in ur pc then select song and right click take curser to add to archives now click ok the song will be rar-format now go to any thread like sangeet ke sitarey, lata,asha, kishore etc of ur choice go to exteme end u,ll find new topic click it , it will ask for title etc. give some title to ur topic then upload songs of ur choice first give detals of song like movie, year, singer,music director (this u,ll get from imdb.com/earthmusic.net) duration of song, ---mb, bit rate of song(jst rite click ur song u,ll get bitrate,duration n mb) thn browse ur pc n click the songs u,ve done in rar and once desired song starts flicking in browse colmn. click add attachment after few minutes(according to speed of ur pc) song will will attched and it will also show u hw much space isleft for further u/loading wn ur u/l is comlpete click 2 add new post and ur song will be up loaded(since u r new it will take at least 2 days be4 display.

Why I absolutely adore Amitda? Its for renditions such as these! Just listen to this superb performance - listen to the part where he goes "dil mein hoon sau gham chupaaye" - the supreme voice quality which quite singularly conveys the angst in the lyric (as if by magic). Picturised on Jackie Shroff (is hardly up to it though) and Varsha Usgaonkar (hardly up in the entire song - wonder who the choreographer was!)

There is part in the song to which I wish to draw your attention - between the antra where AK does “hey hey� - now this style is so propriety to AK - it at once reminded me of the song ‘Bachna ae haseeno’ in HUM KISSISE KUM NAHI - he had rendered the ‘heys’ in a similar fashion at the end of the song (not many might know of it) and the same piece has been retained and interspersed repeatedly in the interlude by Vishal-Shekhar in the Sumeet Kumar version of the song. In a nutshell, the song from BACHNA AE HASEENO features Kishore Kumar, Amit Kumar and Sumeet Kumar - a fact AK himself corroborated in an interview appearing in Mumbai DNA some weeks ago even if AK voiced only ‘Hey hey’ in it.

AK in a MARATHI song

There is a distictively typical pronunciation for the ‘cha’, ‘zha’ and ‘(a)la’ in the marathi lingo and it is extremely difficult for non-maharshtrians speaking the language to pick it up and a dead-give-away. KK cudnt either and the 3 songs he sung in marathi had to be written without using words starting or containing these. In this particular song also while Suresh and Sachin race accross the song with aplomb, Shailendra falters on ‘zhala’, ‘khelu’ and AK on ‘ispik cha raja’ and ‘chala’.
I wish AK would sing more Marathi songs - I absolutely loved his voice where he goes “Nako re raja na bolu manmohana, radha preetichi mi bawri hoi bawri�
