According to KCP,
the song chorus KK sang was in ChalChalReNaujawan (Bandhan 1940) Info collected from HF and interview of KK on SDB provides the following info He sang Bankaa Sipahiya Ghar Jaaye Ho [Eighty Days (1946)] In the same year he also sang RangeelaRangeelaRe [Shikari 1946] Then in MeriJaanMeriJaanSundayKeSunday [Shehnai 1947] and then finally the full song of Ziddi (1948) Marne Ki Duan Kyon Mangu...., considered to be the first song of KK. He sang two Private albums for HMV in 1945. |

"Marne Ki Duan Kyon Mangu" is considered to be the first song, because it is the first full length film song KK sang.
The previous songs he sang is either chorus, or a line like Banka Sipahi.., or a para like Rangeela Rangeela, or few words like Meri Jaan Sunday Ke Sunday, etc. The two private albums of 1945 are Bhoolne Waale O Bhoolne Waale Mohabbat Ka Zamana Yaad Kar Jis Dil Ne Mohabbat Ki Usko Barbaad Kiya Is Duniya Ne |
