Hamara Forums _ Kishore Kumar _ Question

Posted by: kcp Oct 1 2005, 11:00 PM

I am asking this question to myself many times - if this voice is of Guru....guys can you please identify ? smile1.gif

This is not a complete song but just this shouting of Guru+chorus (?) - 5 times in the song....

This song is an Asha Bhosle solo and so it is not metioned in VN's book...

BTW the movie has 4 complete Guru songs and one more Asha solo smile1.gif

Absolutely KCP. Here's how - In this 5 second clip, at 1 second, I had no clue, at 2 seconds, you hear a voice break out. At 3 seconds, it towers above the rest, and by 4 seconds, you know it's Guru.

If this is not Guru, we need to find this guy and get him to some recording studio NOW!

One funny kisa - yesterday when I had gone for lunch....I was breaking my head to find out Guru's voice in the song "Bade Dinon Mein Khushi Ka" - from ZAMEER !!! My MP3 was tagged it as Artist - Kishore Kumar .....I played this song for around 5 times....!!!!!!!!! then I checked the jpg of the LP record that I have and it said Kishore Kumar !!!! I played again 10 times !!! then finally ( after seeing VN's book in the evening ) concluded that Guru's name was mistakenly put on the record !!!!

If I remember right, this song occurs in 2 parts in the movie and both of them were in Mahendra Kapoor's voice.

It's undoubtedly Guru's voice. At the beginning it's not evident, but as the pitch gets higher it's evident. The only other alternative is Amit Kumar because, if you listen very carefully, it does resemble his voice too, to a certain extent.

Good one KCP!

JB.
