here is ''kaise rokenge aese toofan ko'' from anand math-my favourite geeta-talat duets;although the two have sung about 25 duets together,imho this is the best.

O Mahesh ji Dhanyawad a million!!! I had forgotten that this was a duet!! Moreover I am a Talat fan too, and I thought this was Hemant Kumar....actually on second thoughts I just assumed without paying attention as Hemant Kumar was the MD.....Geeta's voice overwhelms me so much that I do not pay attention to anything else!!!!
Whenever I hear Geeta Dutt's voice , I just close my eyes and try to imagine her singing......CRAZY, CRAZY, Oh Well!!

here is one of the last songs that geetaji and talat sahab sang together.its is from the midnight.the film was produced in england/uk and the song was also recorded there.music is by subir sen and lyrics are by shaily shailendra?

Talat sahab's son Khalid Mahmood has posted a zip file containing many duets
of Talat sahab with various singers on his website http://talatmahmood.net
This zip file is containing all the duets in digitally re-mastered format.
This is one single file of 500 MB or more size. Hence it was difficult to download it.
Later on I found this big file split into about 9 individual smaller files.
I can share 22 duets of Geeta ji with Talat sahab on a file sharing site if any one
is interested.

Because of the great efforts of Khalid Mahmood, son of Talat Mahmood sahab, we all have very easily got 23 duets he sang
with Geeta ji. All the songs he has presented are in 128 KBPS and in reasonably good audio quality.
Since these songs are easily available on the net, very little discussion happens on the lovely duets sung by these two legendary artists.
I will be posting lyrics of some of their melodious duets in the coming days. Looking forward to good responses on the same.

I always have wondered about these duets sung by Talat sahab and Geeta ji. Talat was a favorite of Anilda, CR and Madan Mohan (to name a few). Geeta ji's famous work is with composers like Burmanda, OPN, Hemantkumar, Chitragupt, Gyan Dutt, Avinash Vyas, Bulo C Rani etc. With not many composers in common, it seems that Geeta ji sang relatively lesser songs with Talat sahab (in comparison to say, her songs with Rafi sahab). Yet, the richness and sweetness of these lesser heard (and lesser in number) songs is amazing even after fifty plus years. "Arman bhare dil ki lagan" and "Kaise rokoge aise toofan ko" are mesmerizing duets.
