Hi ppl,
Just thought about uploading some random songs that I think U guys will love, and that I think were not uploaded here before - so some of U might be missing them in Ur collection.

U could post Ur request here if U want..and maybe if I need some songs (and I/we all do)..I'll request them here as well.

The songs, I think, are pretty unusual - when you hear the first time at least - but nonetheless, quite good listens.

There is another good song from the above film, a Lata solo as well - Sooni Sej Saja Doon, and that has been uploaded by Zayed, somewhere in the forum. I am trying to upload the ones (songs) that have not been uploaded yet - so I am doing a search on the group before I upload any songs - will take me some time before I upload the next song.

Thanks a million for these 2 numbers. Have been looking for mp3s of these for quite a while. They seem to be available no where, except now in HF, I guess. The songs are 96 Kbps...a little short of the average 128 Kbps...but the songs themselves are very clear. Even volume-wise, they sound high and clear. Still..if anyone has 128 Kbps or higher...well...upload them right away

The Zipped file shows "Track18.cda" - which is just a copy of the CDA or CD-Application from the CD in which the song is located - and not the actual song itself. You will have to use a CD-Ripping software (such as windows media player, or dBpowerAMP Music Converter (the best free one available on their website, in my opinion) to extract the actual song from their CD.

This also leads me to ask - what is the name of the CD where U have this song ? What other songs are in this CD ?

Dear Sani-ji,

Thanks for the rarity. I heard this song a few days ago. This seems to be her voice in the 80's (stand to be corrected with facts).

The original number sung by Sachin-Karta in the 30's is just mind-boggling and for lovers of old bengali hits, no variant of that song can match up to that masterpiece. The wordings are alsmost the same:

kuhu kuhu kuhu kuhu koyelia
koyelia kuho-rilo mahua-boney mahua-boney
mahua-boney...kuhu kuhu.....

Coming back to my first major request - there has been a breakthrough    - I found/got song #5  (above in red) (thanks a million for this song, Ketaki-ji, and she also asked me to upload the song for her here):

Song is 2:50 min long, and @ 145 Kbps VBR

This is the only RabindraSangeet of Lata that I know of {i just came to know there are few more Lata-sung-Tagore songs}. Needless to say, both music and lyrics is by Tagore himself. More correctly speaking, the song is adapted from RabindraSangeet by making the pace a little faster - probably to suit the film (Bengali film, Bau Thakiranir Haat). Lata's diction in the song is just brilliant!

Now, (being Bengali, and a fan of classical indian music, I have to ask), is the original nuber by Sachin-Karta uploaded somewhere in this group ? If not - would really really appreciate if U could upload it (in any appropriate sub-forum).
