Hi friends!
As Madam Noor Jehan’s 6th Anniversary is coming up (on 23rd December), Can we plan some special tribute to her on this occasion?
I am planning to upload some videos (Rare black and white recording of her patriotic songs, she recorded for PTV in 1965). Also I will upload some excerpts from her TV interviews, some rare Audio & Video songs, and some pictures.

I am wondering if it is possible to put a small banner on Main HF page (for that day or a week), to commemorate her Anniversary, like they did at Geeta Dutt’s birthday.

Any more ideas? Suggestions?
I hope you will help to make it a great event! Looking forward to hear from you!

there can be a radio show featuring her contributions at right time evening..... non angels can enjoy that ....

Ya, good idea Ashish... but I think there is no time for a proper Radio Show already bohat late hogaya Haan… It will be nice if someone could play some random songs of Madam on her Anniversary. My PC is not suitable for broadcasting.

Well, friends! I am ready to upload the ‘Anniversary Especial’ stuff. Starting it with some rare VIDEO songs. ‘Lakht-e-Jigar’(1956) was a Madam Noor Jehan movie, unfortunately the print of the film is not available, PTV showed following clips of Lakht-e-Jigar songs in one of its tribute shows. I am uploading them for you, hope you will enjoy!

Sharing again a rare video song, Its from ’Qaidi’(1962), An all time favorite song ‘Mujh se pehli si mohabbat mere mehboob na maang’ , picturised on Shamim Ara. Film is not available. MD Rashid Attre, Lyrics penned by Faiz Ahmed Faiz.

I am uploading one of her TV interviews. This interview was telecast in mid 80s from PTV, the show was ‘Silver Jubilee’. Interview was conducted by Anwar Maqsood (another Madam’s die-hard fan ), I uploaded the audio of same interview many moons ago, Now the VIDEO!!! Madam Noor Jehan had such a sparkling personality, it’s always a treat to watch her in conversation!

Welcome back, Ummer Mein jaanta tha ke ye videos tumko dobaara NJ forum mein keheench laaeinge.. As for the ‘Aaraam-e-jaan’ video is concerned, I don’t know. I have two more songs of ‘Azra’ on VHS. Let me check.

Now I am uploading a wonderful TV interview of Madam Noor Jehan. It was actually recorded for PTV program ‘Rim Jhim’, the show was dedicated to great music director Khurshid Anwar. They used some of the parts of the interview in another TV program ‘Khiraj-e-Tehseen’ along with some new parts, which were not included in ‘Rim Jhim’,
I have both the shows on VHS. I converted the ‘Khiraj-e-Tehseen’ on VCD, but the result appeared in black and white video while the original VHS source was in colour. Pata nahin kya gad bad ho gai… anyway there is no time to re convert. I am uploading the interview in black and white video, It contains on many short clips, as I have no software to join the video clips, I zipped all of them in one file. These clips are from ‘Khiraj-e-Tehseen’, I will try to convert the full interview from '‘Rim Jhim’ soon.

I aslo had a copy of madames 'Rim Jim' interview...was fortunate enough to tape it off ETV urdu...but that was ages ago and my tape went bad...so thank you especially for that. ...will scan thru my stuff nd look for some treats to share will ul em soon....thanx heaps paaji..pradeep and dewani?....

WOW - I have been blown away with the uploads today. Sorry I couldn't come online earlier. I had to be at work the WHOLE day

Aap ne to kamaal hi kardiya - such amazing uploads !! It has really taken my breath away and has brought tears to my eyes.

Like Pulkit I also wanted to upload something but lack of time has meant that I don't have as much material as I would like. I have started scanning and fixing pictures from the the Shaukat Hussain Rizvi book 'Noor Jehan Aur Mein'

I will upload them in a new post and continue to post as many as I can in there.

Once again -

I have spotted 1 or 2 programmes on GEO UK (a satellite channel in UK) that I have set to record, but they don't look like anything special. I'll check them up and upload if they are good.

Inaam, I loved the interview clips. Enjoyed the part where she says even if her daughter sang she would wish to be number one. That's the spirit!!! But where are the questions? Now am dying to get the complete video.
Do U also have the video of jab yeh jaan-e-hazeen? Mere paas nahin hai.

Arey yaar time hi nahin mila in the last few weeks to hear or watch anything I had dled. Now finally got the chance.
I still have not got the stuff Deewz uled. Itne bade files hain and that will be the end of my ratio.
