I have always had a soft corner for this song. I have not seen the film yet,

SB-ji, I had seen this song on Chitrahaar donkey's years ago. Do not remember the entire sequence, but yes, all three women are singing to Shashi Kapoor - but with different emotions. And I had thought that the song was a lovely effort of writing/visualizing in that sense...
One of them is his current sweetheart, who's coyly singing 'neend ud jaaye teri' meaning 'how can my love let you sleep?' The other is a jilted woman who uses the same line to express her anguish. I do not remember much more...
