I think this was around 1986/7/8,,,

There was a hindi serial that would be aired at 930 PM or so, I do not remember anything about the serial now, but the titles opened to a black screen that had white footprints on the left (the titles would come on the right), and a lovely ghazal would be sung by a male voice that went:

yoon nikal pada hoon main raah pe

mujhe manzilon ki talaash hai..

Does anyone remember this serial? Is there any source to that ghazal? (Atleast the words, hopefully more details, and unlikely treasure, the upload of the ghazal... smile1.gif )

no idea about this sad1.gif

but i was searching for it on google and came across various articles about old hindi serials and i felt like crying..

those were the days when DD hours were full of quality programs.

Wagle ki duniya, Rajni, Fatichar, Ulta Pulta, Nukkad, Circus, Lifeline..

i remember my sundays. Rangoli, then there were cartoons like Potali baba ki kahani..and then Jungle-Book.

i would wait for Mile Sur Mera Tumhara, Baje Sargam.. there was no time table for these national integration programs.

sad1.gif sad1.gif some nostalgia

talaash ?

Jo Milte hain, voh nahi milte
Aur Jo Nahi Milte, Vohin Vaastav mein milte hai
Kaaran jo hai, voh nahi hai
Aur jo nahi hai, vohin hai.
Ye keval Shabdo ki heraa-pheri nahi hai
Aur heraa-pheri hain bhi
Yehin Darshan hai
Aur isi hone naa hone, milne naa milne ke beech mein
maayaa kaa samudra hai

My HF friends,

Your luck is really riding high. I have a mild flu and I do have a habit of scanning through my old recordings when I am forced to stay away from work. It is a wonderful coincidence that just before reading this thread I came across the same title song. I don't remember the serial .It is certainly not "Talash" since I very well remeber that the title song of "Talash" ( a breathtaking serial about the hunt for a lost person) was sung by Suresh Wadkar and it went something like "Jeeavn ek Talash hai..." and had the tune of "Tumhara intezar hai, tum pukar lo" sung by Hemantda.

Neverthless, here is what you all want. Audio quality may not be up to the mark.

format : mp3 128kbps

Enjoy friends. HF is simply great !!!

Subir and Abbasi,

You are most welcome. I do have some random recordings on cassette but most of the cassettes are in very bad shape mainly because of the high humidity in this part of India. Please let me know if you are interested in any particular one , I can give it a hunt.

With a lot of effort , I was able to somehow locate the cassette containong the title music of "Hello Zindagi". This was a very touching serial conceived by Nalini Singh . The lyrics I think were by Gulzarji and what soulful rendition by the Ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh!, the BASE (kharaj) in his voice is so effective in this song about life.

I feel this one had been uoloaded before by someone but this is certainly a fuller version, I have tried to clean it and added a bit of stereo effect.

Format : mp3 128 kbps
duration 3:00

Enjoy pals.

Thank you Pareshji for Hello Zindagi.
Apart from what Aly has requested, I would like to add a few more:
KRANTI 1857
AARZOO KA SAFAR
MILAN
TERE LIYE
THE GREAT MARATHA
PUSHP KI ABHILASHA
HUM LOG
KHANDAN
KARISHMA KA KARISHMA
There used to come a serial of Mazhar Khan & Kiran Kher, which had a few songs including HUM HAIN KUCHH APNE LIYE KUCHH HAIN ZAMAANE KE LIYE & KUCHH TABIYAT HI MILI THI AESI.

I am trying to recall the name of a serial that was similar to 'Bharat Ek Khoj' (I believe that was a different one, and not the same).
There were 3-4 anchors who would take turns to move the story forward. Two of them were Hemu Adhikari and Sohaila Kapur-Limaye. I do not recall the others.
This serial was later dubbed into English too.
The title song went like this:
Purab se surya uga ...(something)..andhiyara
jaagi har disha disha ...(don't recollect this part)...

The same jingle was later used in the background of some ads promoting the female child education.
Which serial was this?

Self - belief is the most potent force.
