As per a record I saw Geeta Dutt first sang a song for the movie Bhakt Prahlad in 1946.
The last released movie with her song was Jwala in 1972.
Can somebody please upload the songs from these two movies?

I am not able to find the wordings of the first song Geeta ji sang for the film "Bhakt Pralhad".
The song from Jwala is a trio with Lata ji and Sudha Malhotra ji "Haule haule ek bhi na ghungroo bole".
There is another song which was released in 1983. The name of the film was "Film hi film".
It was made out of some un-completed/un-released films.
The song was a trio with Rafi sahab and Suman ji "Hum khoob jaanate hain kya dil mein hain tumhare"

HB, I have both the songs, song from Jwala and Film Hi Film. Do you want me to share these ?

Of course I dont have her first song from the film Bhakta Prahlad (1946).

HB, here are the lines of the first song Geeta ji sang for the film Bhakta Pralhad (1946)

"Suno Suno Binti Hamari Prabhuji"

She had only 2 lines in this chorus song.

Here is a piece of information from the internet on songs sung by Geeta ji in 1971

By checking Alybaba ji's post and the responses there after, it seems that Mahesh had downloaded the song (apart from the other members who are missing from HF now).

the snippet which alibaba uploaded was from ''ab jaani re'' which you already have.
anyway it is not possible to say which was the first song of bhakta prahlad which was recorded.all or any of the four songs can be considered her first song.

Ok, I stand corrected on that song then.

Yes, I agree that any of those 4 songs could be the first song and it is almost impossible now to figure out which one was recorded first. In case some one can come up with the record numbers for all the 4 songs (I know I am asking too much.. ) then we can at least say which one was the first released song.

Are you talking about the songs from Aadhar(1945)?

Both are duets with S.N. Tripathi.

The movie maybe from 1945, but there is no evidence to say that the Bhakt Prahlad songs were not recorded earlier.

Correct. In fact the evidence is to the contrary. As per "bcsp", the record number of the Adhaar songs is sequentially after the Bhakt Prahlad song, so Bhakt Prahlad was definitely recorded earlier.

daasi [1944] was film made in lahore and the music was also recorded there[jien o phone].its difficult to believe that geetaji went to lahore to sing in a chorus song!

You still haven't answered my Q on at what time you hear Geeta ji's voice?

As for Lahore recordings, in early days in 40s composers wouldn't come to Bombay for Lahore. I doubt if Geeta ji's conservative parents would have sent her to Lahore. She was singing in Hindi and Gujrati songs due to this reason probably (even the Bengali ones came only later but with Bombay based composers most of the time).

Mubarak Begum has recorded around 1957. Talat, hemant were also in 50s.

You still haven't answered my query relating to time in that song you think Geeta ji is featured?

In early 40s, usually lahore film songs were recorded in Lahore only.
