Hi All Anwar Lovers....

I feel that this is the time we, the Lovers of Anwar should work for the sake of his songs and this is the right time to come, share and contribute our songs with each other so that we can expand our collection.

I'm pretty sure I uploaded Yeh Pyar tha recently, use the search function cause I don't remember where. I have Janta Hawaldar song that you want - it's 7:50 long. Let me know if that's what you need - from my Anwar/Pankaj CD on T-series. The obvious problem with sharing Anwar songs are that many are post 86.

Rinki ji I dont think the second duet is with Anwar. It is Shabbir Kumar as far as I know.
Sohni Meri Sohni and Bol Do Mithe Bol Sohniye are both with Shabbir Kumar.

I don't know if the film version is different from the CD version, or if the CD is misprinted, but the CD credts: Anwar, Chadrani Mukherjee & Preeti Sagar for this song entitled Natija Accha Niklega.

This one is a Tribute to Rafi Sahab and he is very much closer in style and voice to Rafi Sahab. So friends must listen this.

Oye Sonu, I'm think you may have heard these before, but it may have not occurred to you, other Lata/Anwar duets that are wondeful are the ones from Heer Ranjha 1992, Yeh Safar Bhi Kitna Suhaana Hai from Sawaal, and Main Naseeb Hoon Kisi Aur Ki from Insaniyat 1994.

Shahrukh bhai the song sounds familiar, I can almost hear him singing those lines, but I just can't place it, do you have any further information?

Sonu Bhai, thank you for liking the quality of the songs. Actually after extracting from Audio/Vedio Cassettes I always try to remove its noise because there may be a noise of sound card, electricity, circut or cassette, up to the possible mark else some musice may be lost.

I think the song "Ek Haseena Ki Nigahon Ka Nishana Ban Gaya" is only sung by Suresh.

Sonu Bhai, in my opinion, the quality of recorded songs is directly depends on:

1. The Media (Audio Cassette, Video Cassette, CD or DVD):
Quality depends on media that how much it has good quality and how much good sound...Better condition and quality of media gives better quality.

2. The Media Player:
Depends on Player like Tape-Recorder or VCR that how much good it plays and how much make noise.

3. System Configuration:
A better configuration of systm gives better result. My recommendation is at least P-III with 128 MB of RAM.

4. Sound Card:
A normal sound card of at least 32 bit is enough for this purpose.

5. Sound Editing Software:
This is the most important thing of the whole process. There are hundreds of sound editing software available. I am using different s/w for different tasks e.g.;

i) Music Match Juke Box for extracting from CDs

ii) Jet Audio for recording form Audio/Video Cassettes, try to record in wave format if you have a large Hard Drive. Wave format takes about 10 MB for 1 minute recording, otherwise use MP3 format of CD quality or standard quality. Standard quality takes about 1 MB for 1 minute recording. I found Jet Audio best for this purpose.

iii) Adobe Audition is the best choice for me for converting, editing, removing noise, hiss, hum, click, cracks and cliping. Its "Effect" toolbar is enough for all these things.

Noise removing needs a noise sample and it is the area where the empty reel plays either before begining or after ending of the song. I mean the silence before begingin or after ending. Select this area of less than 1 second and then try to remove noise from this sample.

But beware...removing of much noise may lost little amount of music. So beware and remove noise at possible limit and not to remove music.

Its "Effect>Noise" toolbar also contain the "Click & Pop" which help to remove clicks and crackles.

NOTE: Must check the song by listening a small part of it after applying any command.

Sonu Bhai, as far as the "Album Tanhaayee" is concerned it is extracted from CD which provided by a friend and I only removed its noise and clicks.

Also, I just remembered, a friend who had been looking at this thread before the hack had told me to look for Shapath 1984 (Bappi Lahiri) for the missing song - I am going to assume he was talking about Shahrukh's request, however I don't have this album, I might have had this song on a mixed tape in the past. Hope that helps you find it though. If someone can verify that the song belongs to this album that would be great. It had slipped my mind and just now remembered.

Actually I think I'm going to share the whole album if the year is not an issue......in the Khaiyyam forum later today. I was surprised to find part 2 of the Mohd Aziz number on the T-series cassette and an extra number which was missing from the Double Apple one, hopefully I can say now that the album is complete. Anyways, it's a lovely album hope you will all enjoy.

Nadeem Bhai, it is 100% Anwar and whole the song sung by him. There is no voice of Rafi Sahab.

Friends! as inquired by Nadeem Bhai, it is a such a proof that Anwar is very much closer to Rafi Sahab, even some of his songs are labled as Rafi Sahab' song in many audio cassettes etc. Like his first song "Qasmein Hum Apni Jaan Ki" was also considered as Rafi Sahab' Song untill it clarifies.

Playback singer Anwar Hussain is a big fan of late Mohammed Rafi, so much so that he misses him everyday. So come 31 July, Anwar Hussain is all set to lend his voice to Rafi Saab’s songs on the legend’s death anniversary at a charity concert in Indore.

“It’s a dream come true for me. I have been a huge fan of Rafi Saab from childhood, and have grown up on his songs,” says Anwar. “This charity concert in Indore, where the organizers invited me to sing some of Rafi Saab’s songs is an opportunity for me to pay a tribute to my idol.”

Born in 1949, Anwar Hussain started taking lessons in classical singing when he was 13 from Abdul Rehman Khan. He started singing Mohd. Rafi songs at various concerts. It was during one of those musical evenings that Anwar was spotted by well-known music director Kamal Rajasthani, who gave him a chance to sing for his film Mere Garib Nawaz. “I got a chance to sing Rafi Saab’s song ‘Kasme hum apni jaan ki khaye chale gaye’. After listening to my voice, a lot of people came forward and told me that my voice sounded a lot like Rafi Saab. I didn’t know how to react to this compliment as I was new that time,” recalls Anwar Hussain.

In 1977, comedian Mehmood gave Anwar a chance to sing in his film, Janta Hawaldar, the song, ‘Humse ka bhul hui’. The song was a super hit amongst the audiences, and Anwar Hussain started getting work and recognition. He also sang for superhit films like Naseeb, Vidhata and Noorie. When the remix revolution started making inroads into the music scene, Anwar got bored of the music being churned out then and took a sabbatical. He settled for a while in America. He realized later that running away does not solve the problem, which brought him back to the city.

Today, Anwar Hussain is busy doing shows, cutting his own album, but he’s not ready to lend his voice to the kind of songs in films nowadays. “I have a serious voice, and this does not fit in today’s songs. But if a song suits my voice, than I will definitely sing the song,” he concludes.
