hello friends,
it would come as a surprise to many music lovers that geeta dutt sang the maximum number of songs for music director chitragupt.from 1947 to 1963 ;they did almost 100 songs together.
i will be uploading some rare songs of the duo;some of which are not even mentioned in hfgk[depending on the response].
i start with a very rare geeta dutt solo from 1948 film ''mala the mighty''.lyrics are by shyam hindi.
listen to the lovely geeta solo -''main jhoom jhoom kar gaati hoon.

another distinction that chitragupt holds is composing for maximum number of geeta-rafi duets[almost thirty].
i am uploading a rare lori from toote khilone[54]-''nanhe so ja re,munne so ja re''.lyrics are by raja mehndi ali khan.one of my favourite lories.

the songs in the film captain kishore as listed in hfgk are-
1]-aai-3 o raja,aankhon mein tu sama ja-geeta,
2]-geet wafa ke gaate chalo-geeta,
3]-ae bewafa yeh to bata-geeta,
4]-aankhein mila ke dil chura ke-geeta,
5]-badal jaye duniya-talat,
6]-dekho ji dil na todo-geeta,
7]-kya mein bataoon chacha ji...darde mohabbat-rafi,mirza musharraf,uma devi;

i have the first five songs.i will ul the rest of geeta songs[2,3,4] in a couple of days.i can ul the talat song if you don't have it.i don't have the rafi,uma devi song.
